Like this, great store cupboard food and very useful as a camp meal.

Fantastic looking fishcakes those Ben! Looking a bit chilly there under the tree cover. I took my new hammock set up for a trial run the other night - it was -2c at 9am but I was toasty and wonderful to wake up in nature. Keep these great videos coming mate

I immediately experienced some nice photography Ben, frames the atmosphere! Very inspirational. Is that a parachute hanging as tarp? Thats cool 👍. Big thumbs up for the Masterchef'y use of the very versatile Trangia storm cooker. 🤠🔥🍺
@Adventure-Outdoors2 жыл бұрын
Cheers Mattias, yes it's a standard issue low level parachute; it makes an excellent tarp. It's not entirely water proof but once the campfire is roaring underneath it starts to balloon with the hot air 😃👍🍺

@@sebastianspychala Glen Trool is a good area, you've got the forest around the loch or you can hike up behind Bruces' Stone on the hills towards the Merrick. There's also a bothy on the way, White Laggan I think it's called but it's a bit of a mess, but there's good camping spots outside. Loch Grannoch is another good area 👍

I saw this video and loved the salmon cake recipe! I love potato cakes and love salmon cakes, so the combination sounded easy and delicious. I made it the next day. Bravo - it was excellent! I added dehydrated onions - very good. A small thing - I didn't like the combination of the salt levels of the prepackaged potatoes and the salmon, in combination both a bit high for my taste. I am going to experiment with regular potato flakes so I can lessen the salt a bit. I think this overall recipe is genius - carbs, protein, fat... I think maybe some dehydrated sweet red peppers in this would be clutch. Going to try it. If I post a vid I'll be sure to credit you for the original recipe. :) Great job.

They look decent. As you say, having stuff for summer cooking is essential and tinned salmon/tuna is perfect really, given the size of the tins. When it's hotter here I'm going to attempt some crumpets as the mix need an hour to do its thing. Keep the videos coming! Cheers 🙂

Cheers Craig, you can't beat canoeing! I use two cameras; either a Canon D700 dslr if I can carry the extra weight or if I'm backpacking I use a Canon G7X mkII. I do have a couple of old GoPro's that I use when canoeing occasionally 👍

I have tried the Go-System and Coleman extreme gas and both not great below - 10C. I put Lifesystems reusable hand warmer under the canister. 2 for a fiver and boil to recharge.
@Adventure-Outdoors2 жыл бұрын
Those hand warmers look good, might have to invest. I usually end up keeping the canister in my sleeping bag so I can at least get a coffee on in the morning without it freezing up.
@stevehomer36762 жыл бұрын
@@Adventure-Outdoors the Coleman C300 has a slightly concave base and fits perfectly over the hand warmer. Lasts about 45 minutes so enough for 2 brews and a bacon sarnie. I usually boil up the hand warmer in the washing up water. Takes about 10 minutes to go back to liquid.
