Love your stories, of course, coloring too! I went out yesterday with my granddaughter. No makeup, clothes didn't match, and a Fedora I placed on my head which my granddaughter was giving to a thrift shop, but I nabbed it so my hair didn't show that is wasn't washed in two days. It was a quaint little shop with unique home decor items. My granddaughter wanted to check it out. Once inside I was looking around trying to blend into the pillows. A woman walks up to me, yes, it happened, she asked if I was Carol on YT????? I near dived into the pillows. She said she recognized my voice. Great, I had laryngitis last week, why not then? This isn't the first time this has happened. I never learn. Never! My sweet granddaughter said, " I think it was the Fedora that sparked her interest Nan! hahahaha We all have our stories, and I truly enjoyed yours today. Hope you don't mind me sharing. It all goes with the YT territory, right? LOL

One of my most recent purchases was a set of 3 clear shelves for keeping nail polish bottles on. Do I own even one bottle of nail polish? No! But they are indeed perfect for storing/displaying Nuvo Crystal Drops bottles. :D That is probably the closest I will ever get to nail polish. At any rate, I love the card, even if it is rather girly, and I mean that in a totally good way. I'm just a tomboy at heart--no girly-girl stuff for me. Even more, Mama & I loved your story! At one point, as you were bouncing between the story & describing your card, Mama asked how can you keep it straight where you are in your story. LOL Apparently you do very well with that, though, since I don't think you ever repeat yourself or get lost. Thank you so much for sharing, not only your card, but your life stories with us! :)

Wow! I just love this card, it looks so pretty and girlie! I love making cards, but I’m not patient (or skilled) enough to do much coloring. It always amazes me how much time and effort crafters like you put into your work. I often wonder if the people who receive these cards have any idea how much goes into making them!

Unless the recipient is a crafter, I don't think they have a clue about how much time and effort we put into our creations. That's why non crafty friends get simple cards, distant family gets mass produced cards and only TRUE friends and fellow crafters get the ones I've put my heart into!

Crystal Muirhead - I totally get that! It does feel like a waste to send a card that you’ve spent hours making to someone who (through no fault of their own) can’t truly appreciate it. A family friend sends my son a beautiful handmade card for his birthday every year. My son is 8, so not really able to appreciate the love and effort that have gone into the cards yet, but I’m saving them all in a box so that when he’s older he will hopefully have a better appreciation for them and our friend 😊💕

It won't work for everyone but for me it's Orly Bonder Base Coat and Glisten & Glow Top Coat. The top coat is seriously the best ever. It dries so fast!! Honestly, I smoothed them with a buffer and then kept polish on them until they grew out. Not the same polish I would change it but they were never "naked." I use Orly bonder as a base coat, 2 coats of nail polish, and HK Girl topcoat (you can only buy it online). and I just waited it out. It didn't take too long. A couple of months maybe?
