WOW! I have this stamp set! It's not very often I see someone making a card with a stamp set that I own and with the dies to boot! Great stamp. Great coloring and card. All of my umbrellas in real life are rainbows and so are the ones I color. It makes me happy to battle the rain with a rainbow. It made me laugh when you said that if we were sitting together in real life, the viewer could tell you that you've told us that story before. Hahahaha. As if I would remember!

Another resource for buying Copics is Sandy Allnock's Hex Chart. She gives a full-color printable version, and then one you can print & color in yourself. Obviously, the colored version won't be totally accurate, since the coloration will depend on your printer's ink/toner, paper, etc. But I think it would provide a starting point. Having said that, I can't PERSONALLY recommend it, since I don't have it, and have never used it. I just don't do (read: can't afford) Copics. But it seems like a very logical item, especially since some Copic colors (again, so I've heard) are practically identical, so it would be ridiculous to buy them all. And it's only about $5 for a download--less than the price of a marker! Anyhoo.... I do love how your card came out, Kelly! I'm glad you were finally able to post it. I must say, you have some wicked fussy-cutting skills! :) I hope life is starting to settle down for you a bit. I know how much being overwhelmed sucks. :( I finally see my psychiatrist tomorrow, so hopefully she will be able to adjust my meds or whatever to lessen my depression, which is still kicking my butt! Thank you for providing a much-needed distraction from my mood--you are definitely one of my golden angels in life! :)

I’ve been a good student...I write down the color combinations that you’ve used and I like! I now have a great list, and I’m slowly buying Copics to add to the meager collection I had😂 I love purples and teals together but I don’t always use that combo...I try to use colors that the recipient will love. Or I try to use combinations that I am not familiar with to expand my coloring. As always thanks for the inspiration, fun story and beautiful card!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for repeating tips over and over again. It has made a big difference in how I color and shade. My friend who always wants me to make her cards, has commented that she sees a difference in my coloring and shading. 1st. .this card came out awesome! AS ALWAYS! U lost me with that umbrella pole Stamping thing but then i realized what u were doing. Im a newbie 😉 2nd..Thanks for all ur tips Kelly. I never comment on videos but I knew I was drawn to you for some reason-I'm a dispatcher too (for FD... I think, without sounding like a total stalker, you're with PD?) Do you craft/color while at work? I have every intention of coloring but get so busy that it's hit or miss lol. BTW-Such a cute card and you're 100% right about the copics. I loved mine (the few that I had) up until I bought a 72 piece set and then became overwhelmed! They've been sitting gathering dust because of that exact reason-there's too much variety and not enough markers that blend well! Thinking I might go out and buy just a few in each color family that I love.

I do Police/Fire/EMS but am actually employed by the PD. I used to color at work but since I pretty much do video for everything now It's not really beneficial. Usually I use that time to sketch or practice hand lettering until it hits the fan of course haha. Thank you what you do and buy those copics girl! I'm so sad I let mine sit as long as I did!

I purchased lightly used copics on EBay, I am trying to learn but I get frustrated when the ink blobs out and ruins my image. Is there something I can do to stop this? Why does it happen with the reds more than other colors? So weird. Love ya💌

Liz Reeves It's overfilled. Pop both caps off and it should equalize the pressure. Once you use enough of the ink you won't have to do it anymore. Happens to all of us :)
