I watched your tutorial and have now made 40 squares for a sunflower blanket. I'm so pleased with how it's turned out. I'm gifting it to my mother-in-law tomorrow. I hope she likes it. Sunflowers are her favourite flowers. Thank you for the turorial.

Wow!! This is amazing! I made a sunflower blanket for my grand daughter from another tutorial and I wasn't really happy with how it turned out due to the sunflower just looking like granny squares with a flower. This sunflower was so much easier to actually make and your tutorial was fantastic. Thank you so much! I will be making a new blanket now for my grand baby and will know it's so much better than the original one I made her. Love this!! Much appreciated 💖

I would just like to say a HUGE thank you. I have NEVER crocheted in my life and have no one to teach me. Last night, I watched your video and copied as you did it, stopping and starting the video as I went along. Well guess what? I did it and it looks amazing and it's perfect and I even impressed myself with how it turned out. You are totally amazing at explaining and going at a rate that people can learn and understand. I learnt SO much doing this. Thank you again and I really appreciate you time and effort in making this video. Xxoo

@Fuzbuddy, same thing happen to me about 7 or 8 years ago my sister had passed from cervical cancer and I needed something to do that would keep my mind busy because that happened out of the blue didn't see it coming , and I remember I've always had a passion for crochet but always been to scared to try it, well I remember my sister telling me one day if I want to learn to crochet then look up how to crochet on KZbin and I took her advise finally facing my fears and the first video that popped up was one of Crystal's how ro crochet a washcloth so as scared and nervous I was I got me 1 seen of yarn and 1 size 5 mm crochet hook and I followed Crystal's video and I Amazed myself I was just whipping right through it like I've been crocheting for years lol. It came so natural to me and it was so easy to learn because Crystal explains everything little detail to the t and I've been watching her videos and subscribed every sense. And I have made so many of her projects, even a few of her toddler dresses. I want to learn to start making garments like sweater and cardigans and things like that but I haven't tried it yet because I'm afraid I'm going to mess up lol 😂,but maybe one day I'll toss that fear aside and try it. ❤

You are a lifesaver! My niece found a pattern for a sunflower blanket that she asked me to make and it was just too complicated because I'm just getting back into crochet after not doing anything more than ripple afghans for about 20+ years. I found another pattern that was nice but turned out to be total clickbait so started searching for patterns. I found several but when I saw that this one was Bag-O-Day Crochet, I had to check it out. Finally, a person I can trust! And it was so easy to follow and looks so nice, I can finally make that girl a sunflower blanket thanks to you. You're the best!

I LOVE this! Saw it when looking for 3D flower squares and just had to make it! Have a bunch of that same yellow yarn I need to use up lol! I highly recomend to anyone making this to steam block it afterword. Mine wasn't laying flat. I steamed it with the iron held about an inch above it (don't let the iron touch, as acrylic yarn will melt) for a few minutes on all 4 sides (white area), then above the flower (after shaping the petals the way i wanted them), until it was nice and damp. Then did the same to the reverse side. Let it cool for a few minutes and it is now laying flat. Steam blocking is great for this kind of yarn. Makes it much softer and helps the overall piece shape up and lay nicely. Thank you so much for this pattern! Great for using up large amounts of scrap yarn and was so much fun to make! Might try some of your other flower squares next! Do you design all these yourself? They are very creative! Subscribed!
