You are terrific teacher!!! So easy to understand both your verbal and video instruction. I have just come back to crochet after a many year hiatus due to working on a computer all day. I was too bleary eyed at the end of the day to think about using my eyes for crochet. Now retired, I searched on KZbin for a refresher. After reviewing many, I luckily landed on yours. I am so happy I did. I was able to master this cute hat and scarf set much sooner than I expected. These are so cute. I have two granddaughters that I could just see wearing these pretty things. I sat down with the required yarn and hook and started to work. A week later all I have done is replay and pause. Crochet and count and then ravel over and over. The count was always too many. I guess I just have the want to but not the way to. I love to watch an occasional video. Also like to see your husband when he comes in. Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent and love of yarns🙂

I LOVE THIS PATTERN! I made mine along with you using red heart gumdrop in the color of popsicle. I’ve been seriously crocheting for less than a year. Unfortunately many teachers assume that newbies know how to finish off and rarely show it. Thanks for sharing. I was not bored. Mine was always too clunky like a piece of chalk. This was not boring but extremely helpful. Please do separate videos on finishing off, adding Pom poms, (in detail), changing colors, adding buttons, adding a lining, removing and reattaching old purse straps, adding a simple border and sewing in all those extra ends. You rock Crystal!!!

I just finished this set for my 3 year old cousin for Christmas this year, but instead of a scarf I made a cowl using the same stitchwork. I used the Faceted Stones yarn by loops and threads so it is so soft and plush and will keep her head and neck warm. Now working on her 6 year old brother's set, scarf sans keyhole. Usually hats dont work out well for me but you made it so easy to grasp and accomplish

Thanks so much for sharing your gift which I then share with my ladies in the crochet/knit/natter group I started in my church about 2mths ago, after learning to crochet with your help here on KZbin over the last 2 yrs after becoming disabled. Some people don't give KZbin & it's Tubers Tutors (ha) the credit y'all deserve. I always use the magic ring to start and I used Red Heart stripes yarn. I prefer Hobby Lobby’s but it’s a 3 hour drive. Running out of your patterns they are all so wonderful & fit so well. Thank you Crystal!

Making these now for my toddler son and its a great, simple set. Easy to customize with some touches here and there if you are a more advanced beginner or intermediate crocheter. I added a ribbing brim to the hat to help it keep its shape and because I like the look and I'm thinking of adding a different trim to the ends of the scarf...maybe a bobble trim or something. The keyhole scarf is such a great idea...I'm going to incorporate it into any other scarf patterns I do for him. I made a hoodie sweater from one of your other videos that came out so adorable as well! Thank you for such clear instruction!
