This little bag turned out so pretty, there so many things a person could use it for all kinds of things carry it along with your next project. I’ll have to get my granddaughter to watch you, I know she love it. I live to far for them to visit me. My daughter used to go visit them and she always had a bag of crafts To teach her, she loved it. One year I went with her it was getting close to Christmas,anyway we had Her and her brother to paint their hand and hold the Christmas bulb, so they had their hand on it and Made a snowman with their name and date on each one, they were so cute and they take it out every year to decorate their tree ,each one has a tree in their room,to decorate. Once her learns to crochet She’ll make all kinds of things. I really enjoy watching you.I’m sure she will love it. Thanks for sharing 👍

You said that in the video. I’m sorry, I’m a beginner. I didn’t know how to start again after tying off the outside of the handle.
@erica_arndt Жыл бұрын
Oh okay, just make a slip-knot and then stick that through one of the stitches, yarn over your hook and pull a loop through the stitch and through your slip-knot. Then you're joined and ready to start single crochets for the inside of the handle.

Thank you so much! I already had sunflower granny squares that I learned to make recently this month and wanted to make s purse but didn’t know how to put it together so I came on KZbin and found you! Yay! So I arranged my squares in the same shape and stitched them as you did. Then before putting the actual purse together , I took paper and cut the outline of purse and made a template. Or pattern. So I ordered on JoAnns last night a beautiful sunflower fleece fabric which is mostly golden yellow with outline of slightly darker sunflowers. Now I’m done with the bag and gonna make the handles. I can’t wait to add the beautiful fabric in it! The bag is mostly cream. With mushroom colored centers and golden curry petals. So ,the fabric will pop when it’s opened. 😊 I’m gonna return here to look to how to make your squares and make another bag! Beautiful work!!! 🎉 Thank you , again!

Erica, this was a fantastic video!!! I’m not a prolific crocheter, by any means, but I’ve been crocheting for over 50 years (yikes! 😬) since I was a little girl, and I’ve never seen anybody do such a clear and concise demonstration on how to crochet granny squares together!!! Ever! I’ve actually been working on a granny square afghan recently, and I thought you were supposed to go through BOTH loops of the front and back squares. I couldn’t figure out why it looked so dopey. And it wasn’t just me! That’s how the original pattern writer did it too, and I also thought theirs didn’t look quite tight, either! You did a better job than Lori Holt (😂) whose videos I’ve also watched recently. And not only did you do a close up on 3 techniques, but it was ever so much more helpful when you used a contrasting color to demonstrate. I think the mattress technique looks the most invisible, but is also the most time consuming and fiddly. My next fave was the crochet together method, as it was also next to invisible. Thank you, so, so much, for doing this, as well as showing how to make this adorable tote bag. You also showed how to do the valleys, which I also never saw before and also the details of the handle, how not to twist them and the pretty scalloped edging. What a lovely little project. I now want to find and watch your granny square tutorial bc I’m sure you’ll have other helpful tip’s in there! Thank you again! 🌷

This crocheted tote is so pretty. Before my daughter was born, I started to crochet a granny square baby blanket with pastel coloured centres, and all around were to be white. Unfortunately I never finished them and it was so long ago I can’t remember why I didn’t. I guess I wasn’t passionate about it 🤷🏻♀️. My daughter is 41 now, and eventually I gave it all away.
