I just came to say a huge thankyou! You're such a great teacher & your tutorials have taught me so much. I started my journey 2 weeks ago and so far Ive learnt this square & starburst grannies which I've gone onto turn into one of your totes 💛 I adore your colour choices too 🌈 I would love to learn hexagonal grannies next. Have you done much work with those yet?

The last time I crocheted my grandmother taught me when I was about 10 or 11 years old. I sure do miss her. I'm still watching this video. You are very clear but, it just seems extremely difficult to me. Thank you for doing 1 color. I figured trying one color shouldn't be too bad. Now I just need to purchase my supplies.

I really hope you see this comment and reply! I just have a question about the corners. After you’ve completed a round and slip stitch through to start the next round, is there a reason you chain 2 as your first double crochet instead of just doing a double crochet? I understand why you do it for the very first round bc it establishes your corner, but after that, it doesn’t seem to matter. Unless it’s a visual thing I don’t know about. I hope this makes sense! Thanks so much for this video! It really helped me!!
@erica_arndt2 жыл бұрын
Yes, if you start off with a double crochet it can lay weird. That said, try it, and if you are okay with how it looks, go for it :)

@erica_arndt2 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can use a magic ring to start, then just start your first row, don't worry about the chains to start, just pull your magic loop tight once you get the first round done.
