It’s no wonder Cody is getting so great! You are an amazing teacher! I like the way you break it down and show exactly where to put markers. I’m terrible at straight edges. It’s been 4 years. I need to try again. Could this start with a foundation double crochet row? It keeps my tension good on ch row. When will you teach Cody to do borders? I love though that it’s a Cody and grandma collaboration. It makes it so sweet. The kit seems awesome too. I just bought 2 kits from Lion brand to make as Christmas gifts. I like that I can choose the pattern I want along with the filters to really narrow it down. Then I’m not stuck trying to decide how much yarn to buy too. It’s cheaper than buying the pattern and then buying yarn. I always buy too much to be safe. I’m bad at yarn chicken and prefer longer tails. I have several of your collaboration kits in my favorites for as soon as I finish the 3 adult gifts I’m making for Christmas. Cody’s stitches are so nice! I wish you were my grandma but I’m too old. 😂 My grandma crocheted afghans and showed me how to do a chain when I was little but I wasn’t interested. I’m so sad about that now. Much harder to learn at my age. I’m 4 years in and still too nervous to buy intermediate or more patterns. Is there a way to tell when you are ready to advance? Right now I’m making a sweater, a poncho, shawl and a blanket. Hopefully by Christmas. 😂 All easy or easy plus patterns. The blanket is not a pattern. Still trying to decide what stitch to use. Going to check out your stitch of the week videos. My ooncho is herringbone HDC. If I do good it may be that. I want fast non yarn eating stitch that’s not just a simple DC. It’ll be stripes and in one stripe I may try to add a word. So that stripe will probably be sc but I don’t care if it’s different. I can’t do a whole sc blanket. I am a huge fan of you and Cody! As a grandma I love your bond.

Glenda, the new Michaels store I told you about in Burton, MI I told you about finally opened. I is a complete disaster! There are no cashiers at all, only self checkout stations that are not handicap accessible. I am 6' tall with very long arms and I could not check myself out. I just left my selections there and rolled out in my wheelchair. You have more yarn behind you on the wall than they do in that whole store. The Joann Fabrics in my area are just the opposite. They are bringing in new yarns and new colors all the time.

I tried one monthly kit, but did not like everything they sent and would not make the item - they sent me a #2 weight yarn and said to use a J hook; I am a tight crocheter and did not want this project, received a change purse, bag another time, was not interested in these either. I did knit the dishclothes instead of crocheting them, crocheted the scarf sent then I canceled. I do more blankets, shawls, ponchos, scarves etc. Have nit made a sweater for myself yet but maybe in future I like my wraps larger than I need because I am always cold and like to use as cover all when not wearing
