I made this pillow using size 5 yarn. I used a varigated black,grey, and white. It was fun to make and turned out great! I love it so much that I'm making another! Christmas gift along with a throw in the same yarn.

I love this pattern. I would never thought to try to make a pillow cover without whipping out the old trusty sewing machine. I am working on a king size blanket now and I can now also make some decorative throw pillows to go along with the blanket. Thank you Crystal for all the info that you share. The pillow is gorgeous! I tried the same yarn and unless you have really good eyes and a lot of patience, getting to the curly part and the eyelash part is quite the challenge. I don't know if I will finish it with this yarn, but I will definitely make several with a different yarn!
