Hi!! If I want to make it 14 inches, how should I adjust the pattern?
@mooglyblog3 жыл бұрын
To make a 14" square, you'd start with 43 sts and then work about 35 rows, or until it's square! :)

I am using a 22' pillow form. How many stitches would I need?
@mooglyblog2 жыл бұрын
With a 22" pillow form, you'd want to make a 20" pillow. So you would want to start with 71 sts.

I’m new to crochet and I can’t get this yarn in the uk, it seems very expensive. How do I know what a suitable alternative would be?
@mooglyblog2 жыл бұрын
Hi Kimberly! There's more info in the written pattern at www.mooglyblog.com/hygge-diamond-pillow/ but basically, you'd want to choose an aran or bulky weight yarn, or you could hold smaller yarns together. Fiber content is up to you, whatever you'd like a pillow made of!
@back2reality6632 жыл бұрын
i doubled up on thinner yarn and it works nicely. i dont have the pricey yarns, i just go with the colors i like most at the least cost. and the results are good on most

A little confused - the video says repeat rows 2 thru 5, but the written pattern says repeat rows 4 thru 7. Which would you recommend?

How is it possible to have the same number of stitches after working row that starts 1 SC then FPTC? With only 1 SC to start and end that row, it changes the multiple to x4 plus 2. Am I crazy?
@mooglyblog3 жыл бұрын
I think you're forgetting the 3 sc before the repeat begins. :)
@i.Duchess3 жыл бұрын
@@mooglyblog When you are repeating row 2, it starts 1 SC the FPTC. It ends that way too. For some reason it seems to work out, though the math doesn’t make sense to me.

@@i.Duchess Row 2 is all dc stitches so I'm afraid I'm still confused, but as long as it works it's all good! :)

@@mooglyblog I referenced the wrong row. My apologies. It’s actually row 5 timestamp 13:20.
@mooglyblog3 жыл бұрын
@@i.Duchess Ah, that's the one I initially assumed, so I think it's the 3 sc before the repeat that you might be overlooking. :)

How many stitches would you need for a 16 inch pillow form? 55?
@mooglyblog5 жыл бұрын
55 sts makes a 16" pillow, but I'd recommend using a 16" pillow form to make a 12 or 14" pillow. So for those sizes, you'd start with 43 or 47 sts respectively.
@jameswaters15755 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much Tamara....I love the pattern....beautiful

It’s unfortunate you chose a darker yarn, it’s difficult to see your stitches for me. Imagine younger people don’t have that issue.

Can only one strand be used
@mooglyblog4 жыл бұрын
Yes, but it will mean you need to change the hook size, and you'll end up with a smaller square, so I suggest you crochet the cover before you decide what size of pillow form to purchase. :)
