EASY CROCHET WICKER STITCH! Tutorial For Tote Bags, Baskets and Purses.

Crochet the wicker stitch! This stitch pattern is excellent for projects that need to be tight. Like like crochet handbags, crochet tote bags, purses, baskets, potholders, placemats, coasters and pillowcases etc… the options are endless for when you need your project to be strong and sturdy.
In this video, I demonstrate the wicker stitch pattern, not the entire bag. You can continue to make the bag as big as you’d like. I plan on attaching faux leather handles and a magnetic clasp at the top of the inside of the bag.
💕 NOTE:
You can continue in rounds by securing each end to begin the next row as shown OR you can opt for just continuing in the round WITHOUT joining. It will create a very slightly angled look, which is also very beautiful. There is no wrong or right way but a matter of preference.
