Brill.... 70yr old female....loved watching it, love the pants! I'm off to put up my IKEA curtain rail now. Then I'm gonna see if you got video for putting up a roller blind. GREAT
@DADDELIVERS Жыл бұрын
Haha thanks for the kind message Lyn - really great to hear. Unfortunately, I'm not up to a roller blind yet, that might be a stretch for me, I always mess those up. Fingers crossed!

Thank you, we got the rods and didn't think that we needed things to put on the wall. Figured it's gonna screw in the wall somehow. This was great help! 😊

Exactly! Thought they were like the twisting rods that extend and press against the window box to stay up. Returning them 🙃 thank you!!

@Nibbix1313 yeah we tought the same too then got home and realized they need wall mounting.

Thanks for the kind message. I found it complex too but after 3 other failed attempts it gets easier! Good luck - hope you manage to get them up quicker than I took to get started!

Excellent video!! Helped me decide to go for the 'Hagid' curtain rod. What is the name of the ceiling light (that looks like a chandelier) from Ikea?
@DADDELIVERS2 ай бұрын
Thanks for the kind message - it's Almhult in white/orange. It looks like IKEA don't sell them here at the moment, but there are lots on ebay - usually listed as 'star wars death star' lampshade!

Hi Neil, thanks for the video, about to put up my ikea rail, do I need to use a wall plug or screw directly into the wall?
@DADDELIVERS4 ай бұрын
Hi Adele - thanks for the kind question, hope I'm not too late! I would definitely use a wall plug - I hate using them, but the screw gets a much better grip and so the pole doesnt go wobbly over time... If it helps, I use the wall plugs that do not have little wings so I can pull them out easily if something goes wrong, and then they don't pull out a chunk of the wall! Good luck with putting them up!

Any idea how I stabilize the rod? If I move the curtain, the rod is moving too 😮
@DADDELIVERS2 ай бұрын
Hi thanks for the kind question Danielle - yes, hope I've understood this correctly: There's a big screw in the bracket (or should be) At the back of the hook that the pole sits in. If you turn it clockwise- or anti clockwise as you look at it from the front, it should pin the pole and squeeze it against the hook that the pole is sitting in and stop it sliding around. If its too tricky to tighten in that position, sometimes I slide the whole bracket off the holder on the wall so that I can tighten it a bit harder or even use a screwdriver to tighten it, then slide it back on to the bracket that is screwed to the wall... Hope this makes sense and helps!

You would have done better to have the pole extended 25 -30cms either side of the window so that the curtain doesn't block the window when the curtains are drawn open.

That's a great tip - thanks for the kind message @midwifemaia

Just bought this set up and only one of the end pieces twist on .... the other side of the pole there is no where for me to screw in the other end piece .... Did i get a bad pole?
@DADDELIVERS2 ай бұрын
Thanks for the kind question Alyssa -- if it's the 'middle bit' you're asking about, the smaller pole just pushes into the bigger pole. If it's the ends the finial should screw on to the end. Hope I've understood correctly. I've had larger IKEA curtain poles that have an 'end bit' into which you screw either a finial or another pole, or curvy pole - and I've had one missing there so it could be a bad pole... Hope you manage to fid a fix!

Hi I was wondering what is the nails called
@DADDELIVERS7 ай бұрын
Hi Fartun Thanks for the kind question It took a couple of goes with different screws, but the ones I'm using now are 7mm diameter head screws which are 35mm long Confusingly on the box it's called PH2 Ø3.5 x L50mm The PH2 is for a cross head or Phillips screwdriver The Ø3.5 is diameter but the diameter of the screw head is 7mm And the length is 50mm I'm winging it - not an expert! Good luck with your curtain pole!

The HUGAD curtain rod does not lock into place by rotating the telescoping piece 😫

Yes, too true - I try twisting it every time I get a new one and it never locks, which is really frustrating! Thanks for the kind comment.

Hi thanks for the kind question! Don't know if you're writing from the UK, but we think they were from B&Q... Other places my wife would recommend are TK Maxx or H&M Home... Hope any of this helps!

The pole doesnt even fit in between the thin rubber.
