I've seen a handful of recipes from vegan channels calling for worcestershire sauce lately but none of them ever mention that usually, unless stated Vegan on the bottle, the sauce contains anchovies. Make sure you check the ingredient list on your bottles, foilks :)
@afearfuljeffrey94788 жыл бұрын
JessDrawsIt well most vegans already check the ingredients anyways
@jessdrawsit70608 жыл бұрын
Yep, most vegans. A lot of other vegans and vegetarians wouldn't think there would be fish in a brown sauce that looks like soy sauce, especially if so many vegan youtubers have put it in videos without mentioning to look for a specifically vegan brand.

Annies, the type she used in this video, actually is a vegan alternative but I was about to comment the same thing. There's so much sneaky meat in things it gets hard!

I am in love with your channel and will def try some of your recipes because it's not the same ol jus smoothie bowls and salads. I enjoy the creativity and it makes me excited about my food. Which is so important. Thank you for bringing that excitement back to me. I've been vegan for a year and a half and vegetarian for three years and with a toddler sometimes I'm lucky to find time to make the boring smoothie bowls and salads but yours are very detailed and seem simplified. Thanks! You deserve a lot of subs

Maybe this is why I have ever liked egg plant. I have never sprinkled it with salt. Thus why I think it has always tasted so bitter when I have cooked it, and I dislike it. I will have to try the salt thing!
@SarahsVeganKitchen8 жыл бұрын
It makes a huge difference to me! If I don't salt it, my tongue gets sort of tingly. Just the Italian ones though -- the smaller Chinese and Japanese eggplants give me no issues if I just cook them straightaway.

Yes, absolutely! I just added the beefy crumbles to show it's an option for people who might be kind of picky.

Tofu would also work (that's what vegan meat is usually made of).

Naturally Hollie Yes you can use all lentils! I'm eating these sloppy joes as I type this and my boyfriend and I only used lentils and it's great. We noticed worcestershire sauce had anchovies contained in it when we were at the store so decided to sub in organic vegan bbq sauce and omg, made the recipe perfect!

Trying to go vegan but my weakness is ice cream n yogurt. I found Ben n jerrys non-dairy ice cream tonight but I need a good yogurt, do you have a good recipe? I don't like sweet coconut
@SarahsVeganKitchen8 жыл бұрын
Hmm I've never made homemade yogurt before but I've heard it's actually easy. You just add a starter (either a spoonful of store-bought vegan yogurt OR the contents of a probiotic capsule) into whatever kind of plant milk you like, cover it and let it culture in a warm spot for a day. I'll experiment with this soon. I also think the So Delicious coconut yogurts are really good...I don't think they taste like coconut at all. Ben n Jerry's is great! The So Delicious cashew ice creams are also really good. :D
@ChristopherSchiffermiller8 жыл бұрын
Hi Vegan Ice cream is soooooo simple to make. You can go to my "vegan/health" playlist for it or I can give you an easy as all heck one right here to start with and just add your own flavors and flare. My ice creams are as good if not better then Amys, Coconut Bliss and So Delicious. PS trust me on this, these ice creams do NOT taste like coconut whatsoever and I would not make them if they did! I am not a fan of coconut flavor either. Give it a whirl and let me know what you feel. Enjoy, Love Christopher

I have asked Tyler this but she never even answered me... Where can you buy nutritional yeast?
@SarahsVeganKitchen8 жыл бұрын
Whole Foods and Sprouts both carry it, if you have those nearby. Either in the bulk section or in the spice section by the brand "Braggs." In Cali some regular grocery stores also have it in the bulk sections. And also of course online.
@AnnAnime8 жыл бұрын
***** where would be a good place online and what brand do you use?

Ann Babygurl in normal grocery stores I go to I have found it in different areas...the "health food section", the spice area as Sarah mentioned, and even in the refrigerated section by the dairy (strange, but that's where it was). I usually see the Red Star brand.
