This looks so pretty! Could you give us an update in like 6 months about how the tile held up? I would like to try doing something like this on my bathroom, but I'm worried about the water going through the edges and causing issues later.

YR sometimes water escapes the curtain lol, i’m sure that’s what she is worried about.

Love how the tiles pulls together all the other black details in the bathroom, looks adorable! Just wish you had put some of it on the baseboard as well, to cover the rest of the terracota tiles. But amazing transformation nonetheless ♥️

I think she didn't anything because she didn't hate them 100%, so she like a little reminder, maybe? Since there is the dark wood shelf I think it doesn't disturb so much

Eek! Floor tiles going up the wall is a pretty outdated decor trend. I think using a white tile paint would look great, though!

Looks good. Does it bother you to have the tiles show going up the wall? Can you cover those as well? Did you caulk?

I have the same kind of tiles and used a special warm water resistent paint to make them white (wall is white too). I would hate it too to keep it in that color.

Looks great! Maybe you could paint the tile that goes up on the wall just a few inches with the baseboard color, it would mimic the other baseboard.

I just did my small bathroom floor last week. I used 12 x12 inch peel and stick tiles from Amazon. They look beautiful! I caulked all around the perimeter and it looks so nice! I wish I could add a picture here,, for you to see.

@tuffywuff how did the peel and stick tiles hold up? I'm moving soon and am thinking about trying the same thing. It's rental though so am worried about damage. Or worried it will wear down quickly and not look good anymore

Alexandra, take a look at a “ticking stick”. You could use this to pre cut anything with a strange shape like a toilet!

I literally just did peel and stick flooring in my bathroom- finished this morning! We went with large faux marble tiles. Turned out really great and was so affordable!

It's so fun to watch your design evolution. I've been a fan since you started this channel and loved (and still do!) your first transformations, but it's fun to see your style change. I love this entire bathroom makeover: the long shelf is a vision, that painted wall makes the room feel more substantial (at least how it translates to video; hopefully that's not mischaracterizing what it's like in person), and the pattern on the flooring is very beautiful and fun without feeling overly trendy to me. I'm happy to hear you left the terracotta underneath rather than paint over; it's so much more versatile for future renters :)

There is a tool I saw ads for on YT all the time that makes patterns easily for around Any shape like your toilet. I bought for my husband because he us a pro cintractor. I used to work with him but can't anylonger because of health. He laughed when he saw it. I finally talkrd him into trying it and now he uses it all the time. It is the most versatile tool ever.

I loooove it. The floor really makes the pink pop. It looks awesome!! I have recently painted my bedroom a similar pink and was thinking about spray painting the black frame of my vanity mirror. But luckily I reconsidered and painted all the accessories black. It gives the pink a grown up sophisticated touch... btw: since there is no homesense near me I will try and diy the hanging planter. It's so pretty!!

To discern the difference: Linoleum is made from linseed oil which stinks. Yulk! So when it is cut or torn you smell linseed oil. Vinyl flooring doesn't stink when you cut it or tear it.

But linoleum is sustainable, it is not plastic. Vinyl is plastic.

That’s a good tip to know- I didn’t know that linoleum had that smell. I actually have a linoleum kitchen floor that is 40 years old. The pattern goes all the way through so you can’t see scratches. I have wanted to change it since I bought the house 20 years ago but other renovations took priority, and still that floor has lasted! I wish the new floor coverings were made as well!

I read all the negative comments, and I also was dubious, but it looks so good I would give it a try - especially in a rental. I don't mind seeing the layer of old tiles showing through....it looks so much better than the dirty old tile. Perhaps ask DIY Danie to cut some custom white baseboard to cover the terracotta baseboard tiles. A visually stunning transformation...and you can just remove it when you move someday.

I love It! U could go with white anti-mould silicone around all the edges and around the wc, so that the adhesive won't lift or peel off.

I'm just not sold on these peel and stick tiles :( you can see the tile through the paper, wouldn't it feel like stepping on plastic?, it looks difficult to install perfectly, I'm not sure how durable it would be over time, and then you also have water and mold to worry about as it's for the bathroom. I love the design she chose but yeah I'm just not convinced this would be a good product.

There's a brand called Floor Pops who make peel and stick vinyl floor tiles that actually feel like linoleum (I've seen them in-person at the hardware store). They'd probably be more durable than the wallpaper-style flooring Alexandra used.

LOL Im glad Im not the only one who gets better as they go along....I stripped the old cork out of 3 bathrooms and re did it along with some grouting...the 1st was quite rough..the 3rd...very professional. Love the idea of these stickers, be interesting to see how well they last as a vinyl/paper version vs sticky vinyl tiles that I've seen others do
