Nice work, next time put the pocket holes on the back supports instead of inside this way you won’t see them but more importantly they be oriented in a way that makes it stronger. Cheers

1:16 same here! I’ve never liked that term either, haha. I’m looking to do the same project in my garage in the near future, as practice for making built-in’s inside the house later. I have a question: what considerations did you guys have when deciding the dimensions - especially the widths - of each individual cabinet? Thanks
@AngelaMarieMade2 жыл бұрын
That's exciting to hear!! The dimensions of these cabinets are 30" wide x 30" tall x 15" deep. For deciding on these dimensions, I looked at the size of stock cabinets that you can buy as a starting point. But, I made them 15" deep instead of the standard 12" deep wall cabinet so they would fit more bulky garage items. Also, I would have loved to make them taller to go up to the ceiling, but our garage door was in the way. So 30" was the max height we could do with hanging them 54" from the floor and still clear the garage door when the cabinet doors are open. I stuck with a standard 30" width to fit our wall space and have room for a large, built in pegboard that will go in between the two cabinets next.

Did u sand the cabinets before painting them
@AngelaMarieMade10 ай бұрын
For these we did not but if you plan on making them for inside you may want to go over them with 120 or 220 grit paper before priming and painting, it will have a much smoother finish. Thank you!

Do you recommend the right angle pocket hole clamp over a 90-degree corner clamp like the Kreg KHCCC 90 Corner Clamp? And is one right angle clamp typically enough?
@AngelaMarieMade Жыл бұрын
Either one will work - and you only need one! If you're making a lot of cabinets, it might be worth investing in a 90-degree corner clamp, and you might want more than one to make it easier.

Hi, those are prefessionally awesome looking cabinets especially the doors! Great job! Been watching a few videos done by so called “professional” but yours are more diy’ers friendly. Bought a whole kreg stuff a couple weeks ago and I’m ready to do mine. I’m doing a larger garage cabinets. Thanks for the video! Btw, for those smaller hanging cabinets, what’s the weight load capacity?

Hi...I really like your videos and I am just wondering that is there any chance for me to work with you as a Video Editor?

Just a heads up for anyone reading the pocket should be drilled in from back of cabinet. So the screw is angled towards the front. The way ahead has it is a weak joint as the screw doesn’t grab enough material. Also hides the holes if you do it from the back

Great point, thanks!

I'm guessing you went with 3/4" plywood because you expect to have heavier items in the cabinets. I always build the with 1/2" which is still pretty strong. 😁
@AngelaMarieMade9 ай бұрын
This is a great point. I wanted the 3/4" for the frame and was able to use the sheet to save on material but you are definitely right, 1/2" shelves will work!!!
