I like this footprint! I got one that goes with the chair, but often don't take it because of the weight. I think this would be a lighter option! Have a great day ! Kaat

I first heard of this idea from a channel called " Its Good In The Woods " he used old tarp material, great idea. I made a couple out of Tyvek that work awesome, and did a short video of it, its an idea thats been around for a while.

That video was awesome! I had some left over Tyvek and decided to make a few using a similar tactic to create this. Will check it out!

@@ItsGoodintheWoods This was not a rip on your tarp video my friend. Your tarp video was great! As Mark twain once said, “There is no such thing as a new idea. It is impossible. We simply take a lot of old ideas and put them into a sort of mental kaleidoscope. We give them a turn and they make new and curious combinations. We keep on turning and making new combinations indefinitely; but they are the same old pieces of colored glass that have been in use through all the ages.” Happy Friday!

Excellent tutorial Andy! A shame we need to do these work arounds or spend extra money to not have our chair sink into the ground but a great lightweight hack idea!

Agreed! Can always use the Backpacking with Jason trick and put a log under your chair legs.

Oooo, I've been wanting to do this but using an X fashion (to reduce weight 😂). I like the safe place to throw the phone, etc. Appreciate the tutorial!

Been using a groundsheet that has been cut down to put my cook kit / items on next to my chair and it’s been working out great! Thanks for watching!

This was inspired by It's Good in The Woods and what he did with a piece of tarp. Tyvek is less weight, so it made sense to me to create this. Hope you two are doing well.

Excellent! I was going to mention Justin's DIY hack but I see he commented and included his link in the description. I like how he was able to also use it as the chair case. Keep up the videos.

One of the things I love about the backpacking community is that everyone shares ideas on KZbin. Everyone adds their own twist so we continue to learn and create new things. Thank you for the onging support my friend! Appreciate ya!

Good idea. I also used one of those bubble envelopes that Amazon uses, doubles as a sit pad too. Have also used a couple small flat rocks from the area and even a wide stick or chunk of bark from the immediate area. You have a healthy looking scalp by the way :)
