Looks great! I did this on my window wall in my living room. However, I do not own a miter saw or a brad nailer. I used miter shears & a staple/nail gun. 😲I also have 6 large boxes & 20 small ones. I'm crazy! This was also my first DIY!!

I think this is the first video of yours I saw. I have been planning something like this in my entry for a while. After seeing your bedroom and rewatching this, I am inspired enough to finally get it done. I put up some crown molding last weekend and plan to do the picture frame panels this weekend. I’m intimidated by big loud saws but have learned to get just fine by with a miter box. It’s slower than a miter saw but it gets the job done.

Love this! Did you see how I added box moulding to my bedroom using miter shears? Game changer for doing smaller projects like this!

@@KelseyRomitoDIY Yes, I did. Great idea! I used the wood trim with the miter box for this and it turned out really nice. I’m really proud of myself. Thanks for the encouragement and confidence from your videos.

We seem to have a similar style preference but I haven’t had the courage to start my DIY remodel lol I have 3 main walls in my foyer area before you reach my kitchen but I have one wall where I have three large pictures of my kids. Do you think if I do this on that one wall it would look weird with my other walls with no moulding? Love your work and you’re motivating me to start my projects to include an electric fireplace built in 🫣😅

I don’t think it would look weird to do only one wall. Especially if you have other things like pictures, etc. it would be like an accent wall

Wow! You did an awesome job! I’m wanting to do this in my living room. The wall is so long. It’s 16 1/2 ft long. I didn’t know how many frames would look good on it. What do you recommend? With yours..... how many inches is everything? Like your actual frame is how big... both top and bottom frames? Also how many inches in btwn everything vertically and horizontally? Also loving your floors! What type and color are those?
@KelseyRomitoDIY3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I give a formula in the video that should help figuring out the math. For reference, my wall is about 12 ft. Each box is 35” wide. Tall boxes are 50” long and small boxes are 25” long. My ceilings are 8 ft. The spacing between all the boxes (vertically and horizontally) is 6”. The distance from ceiling/baseboard is 7”. For a wall of that size, I would do 4 boxes. I really really recommend getting some cheap masking tape and putting that on the wall first so you can see if the size/spacing looks good to you. The flooring is water resistant laminate. Very inexpensive! Here’s the link- www.lowes.com/pd/allen-roth-7-56-in-W-x-4-22-ft-L-Scarlet-Oak-Natural-Embossed-Wood-plank-Laminate-Flooring/1002784484 Hope that answers all your questions!
