In this episode, we celebrate Valentine’s Day with 5 projects that woodworkers of any skill level can do. These are all very good sellers online as well as great gifts.
The first project was the chain link hearts. Both measure 6x7 and were made of pallet wood. They would sell for $20.
The next project was the heart candle holders. The taller one was 9x3x3 and the shorter was 7x3x3 and the pair would sell for $30.
The third project was the pair of pallet hearts. The taller heart measures 12x13 and the shorter one measures 9x10. The pair would sell for $40.
The fourth project was the heart sign which measures 20x10. This project featured the Vaseline paint technique for distress. The hearts were created out of ¼” MDF on the XTOOL. This project would sell for $30.
The fifth and final project was the set of be mine sitters. The overall dimensions of the project are 8x5x1.5 and it would sell for $10.
There are patterns for all of the projects at the following link:

I’m 71 yrs old and I love those little metal play toys. Not that I’ve ever took them apart and out them back together. It’s a great mind game for older folks!!!!

Thank you. Once again, you've out done yourselves. Add a dab a glue is classic. So nice for all woodworkers to form a bond, shout out and support each other.

Where you made the bandsaw cut in the heart, try a double cut to maybe give enough spring to slide the blade through. Hopefully the pointed end won’t snap apart. It usually works. You two have a lot of great ideas, keep them coming.

You guys make some cool stuff. I started Etsy with resin things, then silicone molds, followed by print-on-demand junk, then laser stuff, now I'm getting into making stuff with wood. (I still do all of the previous stuff, too - all in different Etsy shops.) 37:51 - "baby-scented"??? Who would want anything to smell like a baby??? At least, not any babies I've ever been around! HAHAHA! Didn't care for the Vaseline technique - maybe if the paint had been dry brushed? One thing I like about your channel, in addition to making some really cool stuff, is that it is stuff I can make with the cheap tools I've bought to get started. I wish I could have afforded a bigger bandsaw than the 9" WEN I bought. Right now, I have to haul everything out to the porch to work on it - I don't have a room I can use as a workshop, yet.There's this crazy little thing called 'sawdust', and all of my rooms are carpeted. I'm working on it. I may clean out my wood shed and start working in there. Anyhow, thanks for every one of your cool videos!

Just an idea for the linked hearts...if you cut it with the grain, the seam will be better hidden.

You may have to tilt the top wheel backwards a little. Or tighten the tension on the blade.

Another way you could do the hearts is to cut at the tip then soak the top so that you can separate where you cut without snapping the top

Love them all. I have 2 questions. Project 1, do you use a drill then a scroll saw to cut the interior side. Project 5, then painting over vaseline, does it contaminate your paint when you redip the brush? Another awesome video. You always show great ideas. I wish I had half the tools. 😊
@averystreetdesignstudio
@averystreetdesignstudio 6 күн бұрын
Thank you, in project one i drilled a hole and fed the blade through and reattached it. In the interest of timevi didn't show it. The Vaseline does not contaminate the paint. The latex paint will not mix with the petroleum jelly
