Eva Villa - if you plan on putting yours out in the garden, I’d recommend using a good sealer to keep the paints from fading and running. Acrylics are strong paints, but not against outside conditions.

Some Q-Tips are not Q. Some are plastic stemmed, so which works better? Is there a better brand? Also wondering what your foundation black is, acrylic?

There are no rocks like those here in Egypt where we got to stay way more time as the flights back to Texas get canceled 5 times, now....due to the virus....so I bought some modeling clay and will shape my own rocks and then paint it black and make this one you showed me ,..God Willing it turns out well, I am a professional painter on canvases so it might work out well....

How long does it take to dry? Is the black paint, Clark caulk paint? A lot of dots!

Oh, I paint it black in the very beginning of this tutorial. But you could paint the base coat any color you like.

I started using my paint from the cap too; seeing you doing so, made it easier! When you want to mix a color, what do you use to mix, and then store? Beautiful 3D affect!

Even though it gets dried up around the bottle neck, I still find it my fave way, when not mixing. 🙌 Yes, a palette will do the trick to mix with but if you need a lot of a color, or are wanting to save some, you can find little paint containers, with lids, at Michael's or sometimes the Dollar Tree. 👍💫
