The timing… every time I was about to concentrate and get serious taking note, it comes “BISCUIT BANANZA” to throw me off the wagon 😂

I'm going to adopt the name sleepy biscuits for how easy these seem to be to make!

Erin, I am not a baker. Not by any means. However, you are inspiring me more and more with each video. I love this recipe! Savory drop biscuits are drool-inducing yummy bundles of joy. Thanks for another great video. :)

THE CHEESE!!! "It's American." You are dang-tootin' right Missy! I've been abroad and tasted the cheeses of the world, I've ordered it all and savored the flavors; I'm a cheese snob, sure, and that's why you don't DARE come between my keister and my right to a melty slice of American cheese on my breakfast sammy!!!

I made your breakfast sandwiches today with the everything seasoning and all, and they have ruined all other breakfast sandwiches for me. They are so delicious and simple enough to make even before coffee. I love the way the brown sugar in the biscuit dough disguised the baking powder flavor. Just 11/10 recipe all around. Thank you for sharing

I've used the same biscuit recipe whether it's rolled, drop or dumplings. It's my grandma's recipe and always a hit. I never thought about varying the recipe. I will try yours next time.

Hey, I’m never trying to steer someone away from a tried and true grandma recipe!!! Hopefully there’s still some tips and tricks in this episode you can use to apply to your fave recipe - I’m a big believer there’s more than one right way to do things! ❤

@erin-jeanne-mcdowell oh of course not. I like trying new things. I use gluten free Cup 4 Cup so not all recipes work but i love trying them out. Grandma's works both with regular and gluten free.

As a 70s kid, drop biscuits were dropped using two forks instead of spoons. This meant that they were spiky and craggy. I’ll have to see if your dough can do the same. It looks a bit wetter. Haven’t made drop biscuits in ages.

I made these today & I guess I am just not meant to bake. Mine didn't look pretty & smooth like yours, there were a little bumpy and dry. However they did bake completely & did taste good. Will make perfect Bfast sandwich. I am going to try your recipe for those. Wish me luck. Thank you Pam

Hello Erin.. well explained 👏 👌 👍. Btw could you please consider suggesting an alternative to egg as well
@erin-jeanne-mcdowell2 ай бұрын
I usually use the tried and true method of flaxseed meal + water to replace eggs in this type of recipe! Since it’s just a single egg it should work great here! ❤

Erin, what type of flour do you use for your bread? pastries? Do you grind your own flour?

Love your videos! I’m going to make your apple pie recipe. Hope you can help -I am looking for how to get the top pie crust to rise and stay risen after baked leaving a good size space between apple pie filling and pie crust top so I can fill with whipped cream inside.

These are the biscuits I make all the time to top chicken cobbler. I usually add some Parmesan, poultry seasoning and chives to the dough. It tastes like next-level chicken and dumplings up 10 notches. A hit with my folks every time.

A great way to use it - I love it that way too! I make a garlic parm version of these biscuits all the time! ❤ yours sound delicious!!

Can you use table instead of fine sea salt? Thanks, Erin!
@erin-jeanne-mcdowell2 ай бұрын
In most recipes that works just fine! It can be a bit trickier to use table salt in bread recipes, just FYI! ❤

I have tried other drop biscuit recipes and they always seem wet and droopy, adjusting the amount of liquid takes away some of the flavor and the biscuits still come out - blah. Thank you for your recipe. It looks much, much better. I'm looking forward to trying them.

The texture of the biscuit is excellent, but the biscuit was too sweet for me. Cut the sugar down to 1 tablespoon, and even my husband, who isn't a huge fan of biscuits, ate a whole one. Then had half of another. They really are quite delicious. This will be my good to biscuit until my dying day.
