I just built this on Xbox and changed my settings to 4 chunk and it works perfectly. Only works at night but started getting tridents pretty quickly as they spawn pretty fast!

Simulation distance needs to be on 4! no drowneds were spawning cuz I normally play on 6 chunks, i changed it to 4 and it worked perfectly

I did this in my Minecraft Bedrock (Mcpe) world and it works perfectly fine. I just think it yields few resources, but it's worth it to get tridents. If you want a zombie meat farm to level up your Potion Villager, I still think the best way is to find a zombie spawner and farm it. Overall, this is a great Farm in every way! 2:15 It's only 5 blocks taller. Some of your numbers are incorrect. Like the 50 blocks, when in fact you're just holding 49 blocks. This is a great farm though

It only works at nighttime because mobs can’t spawn at light if you make a roof they won’t spawn for some reason but great tutorial if anyone wants to know it just it only works at night

Built block by block twice on Xbox. Nothing spawns in the farm but loads underneath in the ocean. Got more tridents manually killing them than waiting for them to drop. Will be using someone elses farm.

I have a tip if this farm works in your world or version and it's not giving any trident wait for full moon night mobs have high chances of picking up items in full moon night then throw shells at trident drowned it might pick it and drop his trident

I've just built this on BR 1.21.4 for Android and while it is working to get a few drowned, there is more than a minute between each one. It is super slow and I can't tell why. I've clicked shells at some holding tridents but none have dropped one yet. I'm glad I watched the whole thing before starting so I knew to bring a slab and some shells. I also just placed the dropper to start with; not sure why the author did it that way.

had the same problem too, what i did to fix it was "lock" the hopper by putting a lever next to the hopper and turning it on. the problem that we ran into is that the drowned dont have enough time to see and pick up the shells because they get picked up by the dropper too quick. hope this helps!

Just like what he said, it does not work all the time. Because drowneds have a chance to swap their current items for the nautilus shell. Try putting the nautilus shell in the dropper again and activate it, and punch the drowneds with your fists. They should drop the items that they are holding. If it still does not work, just try it again because it's not a 100% chance that they'll swap their current items for a nautilus shell.

No With same logic as killing mob with campfire the mob will die without dropping any xp,but it still drop loot but has lower chances to get trident
