Loving these videos Juna. I recently purchased Affinity Designer because of your channel and am getting more comfortable using it through these step by step videos. I have used Adobe Photoshop Elements for a while now so being able to watch and rewatch these videos has been great for the learning curve 😊

I love your teaching style. Patterns are difficult for me but I find your videos easier to follow. In future pattern tutorials, can you do some seamless patterns that are continuous? What I mean by this is using connected shapes that cover the whole area. Some examples would be: *Honeycomb pattern, Knitted pattern, Hatching pattern, Knotted pattern, Abstract Wavy/Swirly Line pattern, Geometric pattern,* etc. I consider these types of patterns to be very difficult to create in a seamless way, so I would love to see some tutorials on them.

Those are great example.... I will see what I can do

@@DetourShirts Thank you so much! It doesn’t necessarily have to be any of these examples, but I mentioned these examples because they represent a type of pattern that I have a difficult time making seamless. The elements of each of these patterns are not simply independent shapes that I can just copy from one side & move to the other side in order to create a seamless look. Instead they are geometric, continuous & they fill up the whole area, which makes it hard for me to accurately match up one side to the other side, in order to create a seamless pattern.

Is there a list somewhere of the various commands? Command J, for instance.

Yeah... I wish there was... maybe I should make one for a FREE download on my website.... but there are a bunch of shortcut videos on KZbin in the meantime.

This video was super helpful as always dear Juna! Thank you. BTW, I need your opinion on this: what are the most suitable pattern dimensions, especially for Redbubble? I believe 10,000x10,000 pixels will be fine, it's a good big size easy to downsize it if needed.
@DetourShirts2 жыл бұрын
Yes... that's definitely big enough.... I think you could get away with 9600x9600

Would you happen to know why when using CMD J, on a curve, symbol, etc. that I want to symmetrically duplicate around a circle for example, why does it not perfectly align? For example, I will put a box at 0 degrees and use CMD J to duplicate the box evenly, but the further I go around in a circle, it is no longer evenly separating the box, it will be off by .1 - .4 degrees by the time it make it all the way around. So I have to manually go and correctly align at least 3/4 of the box's. Any idea's? Thanks!
