I love to use eyeshadow pencils too, mostly Nudestix. Have been super interested in CT Chameleons, but are they glittery? I have hooded, oily lids, so glitters are no no to me, but love good/metallic shimmer/sheen without fallouts 😘. Do you use any eye primer with your CT?

There is a liner from Marc Jacobs that I think you’d love, ultra skinny fineliner, it’s perfect for a very thin and delicate line and it’s super black. Great price, lots of colors, it’s even in the mini format cause I’ve bought it via a boundle kit with another pencil that works amazing for these simple looks and the mini sizes lasts forever! The pack costed less than 20$ and it had even a mascara 👌✨

Very interesting, something I would never have thought of or have seen. I love eye shadow, but before I even get out of the door it’s smears because I have very dry eyes and they tear up constantly and all of my shadow runs off or flakes off. Doesn’t matter if it’s high end or drugstore, very irritating. Maybe this will help. Awesome video as always!

You are so good! This is now my very favorite eyeshadow technique! Looks beautiful! So subtle and soft, yet very eye-catching in an attractive way. If, at 61, I can’t do this, I’m giving up! Shelbey, would this work for mature, very hooded eyes where the outer 1/3 of the upper eyelid falls down over the mobile lid? If so, would you have to modify it at all to work? I love the face powder tip! This will greatly help to soften the brown pigmentation I have in my crease area.

Question about eye make-up: Lately, whenever I put on eye make-up my eyes tend to feel really heavy (and I don't wear that much makeup) and a bit irritated. I'm wondering if it's an allergic reaction my body has started to develop, is this how other people feel, or could it be that my products may not be good anymore? My lids are also SUPER greasy, and I wonder if the makeup is breaking down and reacting in that way. I dunno. Help would be appreciated.

I've been watching your channel for a while and I enjoy it. But I was deeply disappointed at your coming for Marlena Stell on Twitter over her response to Temptalia. You might have taken more than a moment to try to put yourself in Marlena's place. As a small brand owner (not cosmetics), Marlena's statement is understandable. The comparison was made and the timing was bad. Why didn't Nars or Bite Beauty make a statement? As a large brand they don't have to, first of all. Their lines are big enough to withstand a problem or bad review/contamination comparison. Second, they are not out there against Jaclyn Hill and the issue of contaminated lipsticks. Marlena is in the fray and they are not. They hope that review fades away for them so they never have to address it and their consumers won't notice it. She doesn't have the same options. I have no skin in the game but I would hope there would be more Marlena's out there to defend against poor practices and money grabs rather than remaining silent. You chose to remain silent about an important issue so I would hope that you would be graceful about the decisions other YTers are making for themselves and their brands.
@ShelbeyWilson
@ShelbeyWilson 5 жыл бұрын
Bramsgirl201 Marlena continues to place herself into dramatic situations time and time again. Christine’s post, quite frankly, had nothing to do with slandering or hurting MUG. If Marlena would have taken the same road as some of those larger brands and not exploded the situation into something it wasn’t, then everyone would have went on about their business. But instead, by making herself look like a victim, and issuing some dramatic statement making Christine the “bad guy” she leverages more attention towards her brand. Her intentions have been clear to me for a very long time by the way she inserts herself into EVERY. SINGLE. CRISIS. Christine has an impeccable record and sadly is being dragged into a miserable side of the beauty community that she wants nothing to do with. I understand you don’t agree with my stance but it is my stance and I don’t regret calling Marlena out on it.
@Bramsgirl201
@Bramsgirl201 5 жыл бұрын
@@ShelbeyWilson Christine is a grown up. She made a choice to insert herself into the conversation. I'm sure she can take what comes from that. But again, you missed the point and that's because you don't own a small business with those challenges. It was an aggressive stance. As much as I respect you and your decision even your answer to me was a bit aggressive sounding. It was honest feedback and meant with good intention, frankly. I've seen this side of you in videos lately as well and it's curious because in your early work you were really lovely. Sassy, charming, and fun too watch. It's an interesting change.
@ShelbeyWilson
@ShelbeyWilson 5 жыл бұрын
Bramsgirl201 You stand with Marlena, I stand with Christine. There’s really nothing more to it. You aren’t going to sway me and I’m not going to sway you. I let Marlena know her actions were questionable, just as some people felt Christine’s were. And about me missing the point that MUG is a “small business” - I wouldn’t consider MUG to be a small business at all. Marlena has done well for herself. If we are going off the basis that she should have been excluded from Christine’s post because her brand was small-ER than NARS or Bite, then that’s just silly. No ill thoughts sent your way - we just have different view points 🤷🏻‍♀️
