I like that you mention the thread weights for top and bobbin. What size needle are you using for them?

It depends on the thread weight. I typically use an 80/12 or 90/14 for my threads.

How did you attach the separate elements of the fox? I'm doing a trapunto with separate elements, how do I go about attaching them to the main cloth.

The fox is a panel so there are no separate elements. If there were - like in an appliqué, you would do the appliqué first and then continue the same technique to add batting, stitch it down, etc. as in the video.
