I think almost everyone has had that situation where they worked really hard to make it look easy, breezy. Maybe not always romantic- going to your mom's wedding to your new stepdad, wishing a best friend the best of luck as they pack up the car to move across the country, and a million other things that break your heart but you pretend. Mine were usually seeming Ok after a loved one's funeral because I couldn't afford to lay about being an active mourner/couldn't deal with the pity given to a crying a female, or attending the wedding of the first person I ever fell for (very weird tying the tie for a man you used to think about walking down the isle towards, as he's prepping to marry someone else).
