The model I have is 6740XT so when I remove that first screw the "guts" are not the same. There is black piece that seems to have broken off of something. I can't figure out where. Obviously I need a new part.

I have two Lews speed spool reels both the same model, but the bail on one reel is hard to flip over while the other is easy so do you have any suggestions on a fix like modifying a part on the reel.

I may be stupid but your explanation seems incomplete. Granted there is a prong from the spring that fits into the hole on the circle part of the bail BUT, there is a great big BAR in there and you dont explain where that goes. both prongs won't fit into that one hole. Am I missing something?

Kenny Thao I’ve got a high dollar Quantum that they don’t make a replacement part for that’s now just a paperweight. If you look through their website, you can find schematics to narrow your problem down and hopefully get it fixed.
