You can buy parchment paper that is shaped in either a square or a circle for your air fryer. This parchment paper has holes in the paper so that you can have air flow in the bottom of the air fryer. Easier than guessing how much parchment paper you need.

I have cut to shape and put holes in roll type of parchment paper. Easy to do. Dollar store has it generally in stock. They also have boxes individual sheets of parchment paper.

I would recommend taking the parchment paper out once you flip them since that side is not doughy they won't stick to the basket and the heat will circulate to make them crispy! Just a thought since I'm still getting use to my air fryer. Thanks for some ideas that I can use mine for.👍

The nice thing about air frying is you can stop it at anytime to check your food. It is amazing. Sausage comes out great. The inner basket is top rack safe in your dishwasher. I do not put the outer part of the basket in the dishwasher, I wash it by hand. Have fun.
@gailremp83893 жыл бұрын
Fr what it's worth Miss Barbara, if you just put basket back in when it's turned off let it cool down a little and put some of your soapy hot water into the basket where it covers everything push it back and let it sit, in a little bit it's all nice and ready to be washed. Every time you put one of these parts in the dishwasher it just chips away a little bit of something. And it's so easy to wash and be ready to go when u let it soak... I had the gourmia that I bought at Costco... previous to that I bought a fancy dancy Cuisinart that died. So I don't buy fancy dancy Cuisinart anymore. But I never put any of the parts into a dishwasher. It's just asking to shorten the life by so much. So on that happy note, I hope you have a blessed week. Stay safe. And all that good stuff we say to each other. Peace and blessings

The principal for air fryers is air circulation. That's why there are holes in the bottom of the basket. Putting parchment paper down stops the air from circulating. It is also why you shouldn't overload the basket. That's why the crescent rolls didn't cook properly. You can get a rack to fit your basket and stack that way, allowing the air to circulate better.
@michellehale89623 жыл бұрын
Not sure parchment paper up the sides is helping you! (You can trim it to pan size and even punch holes in it.) Air fryer will circulate hot air better on all sides so you don’t have to turn biscuits over.

Hi Vanessa, I would definitely like to see more Air Fryer videos. I have the same model as you, and it's awesome (mine is UK type with C instead of F but converting the temperature isn't too difficult). I wish we could get biscuits and rolls in the cans here in the UK as easily, I would love to try them out for my family. I'm not too great on my feet most days, but the Air Fryer has made cooking a few things so much easier for, and even my husband can cook his own bacon now, lol, and being able to connect it to my phone I can let my daughter put in her own bacon too and just set the time and temperature for super crispy bacon (I love it crispy too). Thank you for sharing this, I really look forward to seeing some more videos in the coming months if you are able to, I really don't know how we've managed without one for so long.

Suggestion: When you are flipping or shaking the food half way through cooking, set the fryer for the WHOLE cook time. When you pull out the basket half way through to shake, it pauses the time & resumes cooking when you push it back in. This saves you from resetting the temp & time. This "time pause" & the "auto shutoff" are things I like about an airfryer over an oven. Check to see if your airfryer has a setting that does this - mine has a "Frozen Food" setting that automatically pauses & beeps to tell you it's time to shake.

I’ve been cooking in air fryers since 2019. I had a basket type first and it broke in 4 months. I waited a couple of months to buy another and I decided to get a larger one and a toaster type - I have the Power XL 6 Quart Air Fryer Oven. A few months ago the door handle broke off and they wouldn’t fix it or replace it but the oven still works well. I use a fork to open it. I love how it cooks though. I use it every day for something or other. I made air fried fish in it today 400 degrees for 8 minutes was perfect. I flipped the fish halfway through. I used it in fish tacos tonight. Why didn’t you spray the foods with cooking spray before you cooked them? I always use my Misto sprayer and I spray them with a bit of oil and it helps everything brown better. Get yourself a good air fryer cookbook such as the Skinnytaste book, or Air Fry Everything by Meredith Lawrence or the new Essential Air Fryer Cookbook and you will never use your oven again!

If I'm going to cook something at 350° or the 400°. On my gourmia I just press the start button and it starts to do the pre-heat. If you're not ready to put stuff in when it beeps to tell you to do it it's not like a crisis. You don't have to throw the food in there the second it beeps. On mine it beeps five times. If I'm not ready I just ignore it. Then when I'm ready I put it in and I adjust the time. At first when I got I thought I had to have it in there or I was in trouble but you're not. It's very very easy to use. It's almost too easy to use sometimes. And I like the concept of being able to adjust up in the time or down in the temperature. Costco has some really great vegetable spring rolls that they sell frozen. 50 of them for $9.99. The air fryer recipe on the actual box says 350° for eight minutes. Well, in my particular enjoyment level, I am not cooking them with the preheat and then at 375° for 13 minutes. And at about 11 minutes, I flip them over. And they come out crispy and yummy. So you learn what works best for you. But I used to freak if I didn't have my food ready to go in right then. Weird. Conditioning is an interesting thing. Peace and blessings everywhere

FYI... to remove the basket assembly from the base unit you only need to pull it out. You are pushing the basket release guard as if it is needed to remove the basket assembly from the main unit. That clear (see thru) plastic piece is used to prevent people from accidentally pressing the basket release button, which would be extremely dangerous. I know, hard habit to break.
@milesobrien2694 Жыл бұрын
The clear piece is for leverage. That way you don't need to use wo hands, one to steady the air fryer and the other to pull the basket out.

You video is very good. I have to tell you that baking biscuits in air fryer is possible with excellent results. You have to bake temp and approximate time that it says on package of biscuits. You don't have to spray basket biscuit is already prepared in packaging in factory. You shouldn't keep opening air fryer basket the heat escapes. You wouldn't open and oven door if you were baking a cake. So same for air fryer. Set timer shorter than what temp shows on package of biscuits though. I baked 5 biscuits 350 F degrees and I set timer 8 min. I didn't have to turn biscuit. Biscuits were totally cooked inside and beautiful brown color outside. They tasted like fresh bread out of oven. I believe the instructions on package are important we can't just make up a temperature or time to cook. You must follow recipe on box at least close to the instructions. You won't have to open door every 2 min. Don't worry they won't burn.😊
