Also, please note that some early 2013 owners are having problems with the bulbs not staying on, so I would suggest getting a resistor set as well in case this is needed. I'm waiting for others to reply back if the resistors solve their problems. Most people are not having problems (myself included), and mine is a 'late 2013' model.

I greatly appreciate you for making this video. It helped me to replace the front right turn signal bulb in my 2013 C-Max E-nergi. I would not have known otherwise to remove the top fender screws (and about the tab on the light assembly housing). With your help I successfully removed the assembly and replaced the bulb in just minutes. Sincerely, thank you! Also, my bulb was incandescent so I stayed with that for the replacement only because I slightly fear change, but thank you again for helping me.

Worked just like you showed, great video. I have a 2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid that I just picked up. Problem though, after I replaced the bulbs I turned the vehicle on and they worked just fine, but after a few hours later I drove it, and the headlights would not stay on, only the brights. Any ideas on what it could be? I am going to take them out tomorrow and double check all the connections and do try it again. Any suggestions would be appreciated

@@DansWay same thing happens with me. Apparently the experts in my area told me that the LEDs are much stronger than the halogens that are currently on it so the car senses that and doesnt light them up to avoid overheating/melting of any components? Once again. Those Auxito - M3 are worth the money. Fun fact, car light review tested those led bulbs. And it’s well balanced. Auxito claimed it’s 30aw per bulb. But it’s 22.4W per bulb for the observation. And after 27 minutes of run time, which is the commuter time in the us. They get cooled up to 122 degrees Fahrenheit. Any led bulbs that’s for all in one or internal driver or a led bulb with an external driver, with the main unit gets under 150 degrees Fahrenheit is a plus, on external driver for around 150 degrees Fahrenheit is about average. For all in one, anything that’s above 150 degrees Fahrenheit is something u need to take in the consideration. The higher the temperature, the shorter the lifespan. The lower the temperature, the longer the lifespan. But those led bulbs will not work well for those headlight housing. It’s not because led will not work with reflector. They do. It’s the offset of the halogen bulbs. When u see the halogen bulb position sideways. And u turn to angle to remove it. And then put the nice two sided led bulbs. The orientation is completely wrong, the led chips are facing up and down or 6-12 o’clock: and it will not use the reflector housing to mimic the same beam pattern as oem. I would change the Auxito - M3, and get either Auxito - Y13 or Y19. Because it has comes with Allen wrench to loose the set screw, to adjust the orientation. If u wonder what is the box between the led bulb and the connector, it’s an external driver for heat management and longevity.

Hi and thanks for very useful videos on C-Max! Could you please share your thoughts about... "Aftermarket headlights - those that you purchase separately for your vehicle - are legal in California. LED headlights are also legal as long as they are white, have amber turn signals, and are within the 2,513-lumen limit." All LED headlights I see, including these AUXITO are much more lumen per bulb, usually 10000+, that is 4x times more than legally allowed. I'm in California too, but dont have any experience on police encounter and if they would give a fine for non compliance of headlight law. I really need more light for late night driving and what Sylvania lamps give is barely enough for my eyes.

@@DansWay yes please. would you know about putting in relays as well? (to prevent hyper blinking?)
@DansWay2 жыл бұрын
@@sleepingtiger4436 The hyper-blinking is caused by the car not sensing enough current being drawn by the old style bulb. Those drew several amps of power, which the car uses to confirm that the bulb isn't burned out. Turn signals and brake lights are important safety features, which is why they add this current-sense function. To fool the car, you need to add a large resistor to 'burn' off power as heat like the old bulb did. You need to add a resistor across the leads of the LED because the LED draws perhaps 1/10th the power of the old bulb. Here is a link to what I use: geni.us/6ohm-Anti-Blink
