One of the most successful fundraising events I’ve seen is a motor cycle ride. Riders were encouraged to get out of their house during the pandemic by having them show up to a ride that allowed them to participate in a group function to support the combined federal campaign without having to get too close to each other. We generated over $80,000 through one ride.

We did a Bagel Fun Run for our Hillel where there was a run next to the beach followed by a brunch and it helped the Wounded Warrior Project.

my kids school has done a penny wars. who ever donates the most in that grade wins. if a person puts in silver coins a certain amount is subtracted. they can also put in dollar bills for the same value as the bill.

Aplos I am currently doing the penny challenge to raise money for a non-profit called Thirst Project. I saw the idea on KZbin. Someone was trying to make as much money from they can from one penny. I am doing the same thing now. I first started with the penny and sold it for $0.01. After that I sold the pen for $1. Then I just kept going. I am now at a bit over $30 myself. My goal is to get to $1,000. I did this challenge with some friends divided into teams. We had to see who could get the most money from the penny in 1.5 hours. This way of fundraising has been super fun so far.

@Aplos. I want to raise funds to set up up a water treatment plant in my village where there is around 1 million people unable to drink purified water. Even they are unable to buy mineral water because of high prices.

One of my favorite ways to raise money is change jars at restaurants, small businesses and other establishments. While the going can be slow most times it does pan out! Car washes, a garage sales and raffles are definitely fun as well.

Start a fundraiser but like a tent fundraiser for the homeless " shelter the homeless" is what I want to call it and I want to start something to have people donate tent so we can hand them out to the homeless people. It's really sad how many homeless people are around now and it's been in my heart for awhile that I want to help but I just don't know how do you have any ideas of what I can do?

I am 100% not kabashing your heart and wonderful idea, I can only share my personal experience. I lived in Salt Lake City in brutal winters and personally bought tents for several homeless in different areas of town and by the next week, they had gotten rid of them in exchange for drugs. 😥 So now I donate directly to the shelters only.

I'm not so knowledgeable about cosplay, but in this timeframe, you could raise money for charities by offering video greetings to people as your character for $5 each (or whatever price you wanted to put on it), with the proceeds going to a specific charity.

Raffles are great, BUT there are a buttload of rules as to what is allowed online. Even for nonprofit organizations
