I have been a vegan or they call it now - whole food plant based for 50 years. I had a whole food plant based cooking show and wrote recipe books. I want to compliment you on what an awesome job you are doing! Your foods are amazing, pure, whole plants and delicious! Your presentation and explanations are top notch. Thank you for these wonderful recipes that will and DO save lives! I think you were Heaven sent, and will reach more people that need to know this. It WILL reverse DISeases and poor health. People think if genetics are present, that is an excuse. "Genetics loads the gun, but diet and lifestyle pull the trigger" Keep on what you are doing. You are rocking it!!! Love and blessings to your sharing. I know the time and effort that goes into this. 🥰

That's such a huge compliment and I appreciate it more than you know. My whole intention is to help people transition to healthier eating and outcomes in hopes that they won't have happen to them what has happened to several of my family members and friends. Living with sickness, and on medications for the last several years until succumbing to an early death is far from ideal. This has been the experience of far too many, and I am hoping my efforts will empower others with the knowledge and knowhow to subtract their name from that dreadful list. Thank you again for appreciating my efforts and sharing your comment!

I made this yesterday so I could have something gluten free for a guest while others ate delicious challah bread. I did not do the filling part so I doubled the date sugar as I did want the sweetness. Then I used a mold that makes it come out looking a bit like the braided challah. It was so appreciated by my gluten free guest but others liked it too. Today I toasted up some for breakfast and put almond ricotta on one piece and almond butter on the other. Both ways were delicious!!! Thank you!!!

Thank you! Respectfully, there are a lot of misunderstandings about diabetes. Whole food carbs are not the enemy, refined carbs are. However, reducing fat intake and eating mostly whole, unrefined foods along with consistent exercise will result in fat loss and, in about 80% of cases, a reversal of diabetes. Feel free to DM me on IG if you would like to discuss through voice message ... or not.

Thank you for this recipe. Since I've started following you, I've been making really great bread. I can't wait to try this one. I notice that you only use millet flour. I made the burger buns using spelt flour but I needed to add more flour, so they didn't come out nice and fluffy. What's your take on using other flours like spelt, rye or Amanath? I don't use white flour nor whole wheat. Also, what's your take on water harvested wild rice? Please advise and thank you for ALL your great recipes.
@healthyveganeating8 ай бұрын
I prefer to use the healthiest options for ingredients when possible. I consider millet, quinoa, and almond flours to be healthiest, so they’re what I use. Consequently, I can’t speak on the specifics of the flours you mentioned from personal cooking experience. However, I can say that I don’t consider them as healthy as the three I use. White rice from any area is void of nutrients. Dark rice is all about the condition of the water / soil it’s grown in.
@debbiehowell98678 ай бұрын

@healthyveganeating8 ай бұрын
Thank you! I use proso millet ( more commonly called pearl millet ) As far as the alternative ingredients ... I am not sure if those adjustments will work or not because I have only made this bread with the recipe I provided. I can tell you that the bread freezes well, and lasts in the fridge at least a few days and probably longer, but I typically eat it in a few days or freeze the remainder.

Javant, I am trying to transition to vegan from keto, and I have watched several vegan channels, but none compare to yours. I subscribed to your channel about a month ago, and have several recipes that I plan to make. My first is going to be this raisin bread recipe. My question is do you know of an alternative I can use in place of the date sugar or dates? I would like to cut down on the amount of carbs that come with sweetening vegan desserts.
@healthyveganeating7 ай бұрын
There are definitely other sweeteners that could work, but I always use dates because they are the healthiest option. Admittedly, I’m not a fan of keto. It can result in some good SHORT TERM results, but there are now studies showing that it’s a potentially dangerous long term diet. I eat a ton of carbs from unrefined, whole plant sources, so it’s what my recipes reflect.

Hello. I am going one month into my vegan journey, I am subscribed to your channel. I need help with variety in foods, do you have a recipe book available if so please direct my to where I can purchase it at.

I am fortunate to have partnered with a very major publisher to create my cookbook. Just started it, so it will be awhile before it's available. My HV Lifestyle Support App will have over 400 recipes from KZbin and IG. It will be available soon.. 👌🏾Thanks for asking!
