Apparently, Juri's sweep xx v-trigger is a whopping +1 on block. I'm not not exactly sure what I can do with that information, but my expectations are not high.

I think she can do her qcf hk xx vt OB for a lot of plus frames. Definitely character dependent. If you dont want to do research and just want to play, at least sweep xx vt is plus, and puts you into vt

I´ve seen QCB+K into VT to be the most reliable way for juri to get some pressure on vt activation. If u wanna do sweep xx VT, you have to get creative with the frame traps abussing her 3 framer i guess.

I've been playing Ibuki, so cr.mk into V trigger 2 has been essential to getting more damage and mixups even in bronze rank. It's been really important against characters with better footsies buttons than me. Next thing to learn is when to use V shift to escape and maybe find punishes too

Zangiefs VT1 is strange, so you'll definitely have to lab it out. To activate, I see a lot of giefs to charge sthp into vt, and you can use the vt charge to try to close the distance

Nice content man !! Is it a 50/50 mix up at the beginning of the video ? The Akuma sweep > Vt activation > Demon flip hado then you cross up ? In which direction the fireball are hitting ?

Yes it is! I explain the setup towards the end of the video. The fireballs hit depending on if you jump forward or neutral.

Not bad. I think it's exactly like you said, good for getting out of Bronze or Silver as I see those ranks rarely doing V Triggers, except for Ryu and that's just standing activation into fireball spam which doesn't really do anything except get jumped over and punished hard.

Any suggestions for G VTrigger 2 activations? I've typically used it after a heavy, wait on blockstun (for command grab to land) then command grab. Any other suggestions would be great!

I don't main a shoto & there's nothing easy about getting out of silver for me. Been playing 4 1/2 years, and have done hundreds of VT activations (cHP, EX Bullhead, etc. for my main), but the other player can still win. Congrats on reaching gold (and beyond). Hope to do so someday.

@@jettmanas I find Birdie to be a great character. He has a nice antiair, and also, very few people use him. So that gives you an edge, because other players aren’t used to the match up. I’ve encountered Birdie players who completely destroyed me (and I’m a Ryu main, so 100% shoto here). Getting out of silver is a difficult thing in itself, so give yourself some credit! At least after 4 1/2 years I’m betting you know your character really well. I’ve only been playing for about 7-8 months.

I'm pretty sure this tech works for juri's vtriggers as well. Her vtriggers can be quite scary if you use it to stagger your pressure
