I love this pattern especially the starting band. I have been using it for all of my hats lately even if I don't follow through and crochet the granny dc clusters. My hats always turn out lovely. I even took 4 full-sized granny vintage granny squares the ones with 3 rows of color and then the black 4th row. I connected those together as a band and crochet the rest of the hat upwards in the granny dc clusters and it turned out beautifully. This pattern that you have created is so versatile. Thanks for it again!!!

I would like to make something for my grandson as it is getting cold but the yarns are a bit confusing to me as I don’t know which to buy. They are so many types out there.

May I compliment you on the quality of your instructions on ALL your work, not just this production. Your camera work is excellent, with enough closeups to give clear indications of the stiches and you stitch at a good pace to follow easily. But what sets you apart from many of the other tutors is your silence.......you let your vision do the talking and don't overwhelm with chat, instructions and vision simultaneously. .....As an absolute beginner to crotcheting you have been a Godsend.
