Its hard to argue with success, Charles has shown me 3 great strethes for run, be patient, up your miles slowly, proper shoes and rotate them, etc for sure I'm doing these 7.

Interesting point regarding whether to lift before or after your run. I agree and think after is better, but in my opinion it's better because your body is already accustomed to the stresses that the running motion gives you, whereas lifting is more unfamiliar for runners, and therefore your musculoskeletal frame won't be as fatigued after an easy run, therefore that order making more sense (in my head).

Good picks! Definitely look up technique for the kettlebell push press though, you want a much straighter wrist to avoid injuring your wrist or potentially tearing your rotator cuff. The kettlebell should be much closer to the body to also avoid wrist and rotator cuff shenanigans. Kettlebells are great, also super easy to mess your wrists and shoulders up without strict form so be careful! Watch some Kettlebell hard style videos to get the safe wrist position.

I’ll be honest I’ve been struggling with having a bunch of random injuries come up every year and it holds me back from my pontential. I wan’t to do more to help prevent it but there just so much and I don’t know what to prioritize. I want to have a schedule for strength training that I can be confident will keep me healthy but I just haven’t gotten there yet. I just hope injuries don’t ruin my xc season

@silvermandavid Жыл бұрын
I would think it is better to lift before a run only because when your muscles are already fatigued, your form is going to suffer when you do the s & c exercises. If your form isn't great, you won't get the best effect from the exercise and could even risk injury.
