Interesting how these "reinventing the wheel" hacks are more work, if they work than they're worth. The penini press and hamburger patty: unless extremely thin, as oppose to the size shown, that won't get hot enough to cook thru and the wax paper will disintegrate in a short time, hence defeating the "no cleanup." Same applies to doing it in a skillet/frying pan; the one with the hangers as skewers, assuming they are actually metal, they are coated with plastic or some other chemical so they won't tarnish or rust. Don't think you want anywhere near your food; regular plastic bag in the microwave? Whole potatoes or not, that bag is going to melt; soggy omelet, here's a great idea - dont put a lid on it to begin with! The thin egg layer doesn't take that long to cook that you need to "steam" it. Garlic going bad, don't peel it ahead of time. Doesn't take that long to peel or just buy already peeled garlic. Don't need to take a toothpick to your knife to prevent slices from sticking, either tip the knife sideways after each cut or continue to cut and the new sluce will push the old slice off natural (also, you'll have to peel that tape off the knife after you're done cutting before washing the knife - we hope). Some of the others are "obvious adams" (lettuce to big, break it in half; plate or tin under watermelon when cutting; cutting cold butter, although you can just let it sit out for a but instead of the warm/hot jar method (pretty much the same amount of time); etc.

Forgot the hamburger bun/toaster grill cheese or taco(?). Assuming you can get the folded bun INTO the bread slots (not to mention back out again), hot enough to not burn the outside of that bun in order to melt the cheese, said melted cheese doesn't start burning and smoldering on the cooking elements, guess you have a lot of extra money to keep buying toasters. Better yet, a toaster oven. The bread/bun lies flat, doesn't start a fire, and when hot with the cheese nicely melted, take a spatula and fold the bread!!! Small hand strainer and butter: most of those aren't strong enough to scrape across soft butter without bending it and why not just use the knife you had to get it out the strainer and spreaded it across the bread anyways. Reinventing the wheel when it didn't need to be and making more work for yourself.

That's a great idea using a hanger as a skewer for the kabobs, but there's one problem: see there's a coating on the hanger thats plastic and with the heat from the oven it will melt off and get in your food or on the oven!!! Do you want to eat that?
@oldladytoofast
@oldladytoofast Жыл бұрын
I thought that they were painted and thought the same thing not food safe. Use wood skewers and find a way to hang them from your oven shelf with a baking pan under them. Or run the skewers thru the sides of an aluminum disposable pan

If you use wooden skewers, soak the skewer overnight in water. This is because the wooden skewer can catch on fire, so lets be safe.

You should NEVER EAT MOLDY FOODS!!! the only exception is items that are hard. Where you wouldn’t eat moldy tomatoes or peppers you could cut the mold off of say potatoes and hard cheese. Mold grows in long strings and can easily travels through soft mushy food. The juices also help distribute the spores. Please err on the side of caution, a piece of food isn’t worth becoming sick over!!!

Вроде логично, что на какой-то тарелке или подносе лучше это делать. Зубочистку на нож - интересно. Но думаю, быстрее обычным способом порезать, чем что-то клеить.
