i recently downloaded OpenEMU and it works great except for GBA games... the audio is terrible and super laggy. I thought maybe it was bc i was using a Macbook Air 2022 but it plays gamecube games fine... not sure what to do. I really want to play some GBA titles but the audio is just too bad. Any tips?

Not currently my friend, I'm not sure what could possibly cause it. Maybe getting a dedicated emulator for GBA and using winebottler or parallels if you need to run an .exe.

Yes! Through bluetooth or wired connection (I prefer wired because the bluetooth on older macs is a little... finicky)

When you try to open and get the message, just go to your System Preferences, then Security & Privacy, and you should see a button saying something along the lines of "Allow anyway" towards the bottom.

You don't even need to go to your system preferences. You can just open these unverified apps by right-clicking (or ctrl+clicking) and choose "Open" in the context menu. From now on you will be able to start the app by double-clicking (because macOS registers the app as safe in the background)

Usually you would go to your settings, security, and it gives you the option to "open anyway". It's completely safe I promise.

Personally I've never gotten any viruses. Hell, I've downloaded ROMs from there on my PC. If it makes you feel any safer, I can send you a DM on Instagram with a short video showing you 👍🏻. I promise I wouldn't recommend anything I haven't tried myself on my computers. Have a good one dude 😁
