Kelly I would absolutely love to have a list of the foods you know eg a loaf of bread is $2.60 a litre of milk is $1.60. I would use it like a bible. Is it possible for you to do a video on this if other people would be interested? From my point of view it would be extremely helpful and I'm thinking others would think it as well. I understand there would need to be updates but I reckon people would be waiting with bated breath for these as well. It's an idea anyway. I'd LOVE it.

@@FrugalFunMum have you got a couple of Mums in Adelaide that you could do a before and after interview or with? Or a before and after look at their receipts for example? Or if it's just their receipts they don't even have to be in Adelaide I suppose. What I mean is you can share it beforehand with a group of Mums then get them to use it asking them to show a receipt before and after of the same shop (this will take a while until they get used to shopping this way) and then this can be used in the final video. I don't know I don't do videos. Lol Just an idea.

@@FrugalFunMum Or for example for me it would just make my weekly shop a lot easier in general because I don't need to think so hard. There would immediately be a dent in the cost and it would show in my receipt.

@@onemomentatatime7697 I asked a few other creators what they thought because I saw someone post a video saying they are struggling they showed their haul and asked for my help i thought a video reply would be best so i can explain - I would be kind eg not saying 'dont' buy it but just giving ideas' 'if' you were looking but others said it's a dangerous area to tread.

A far easier way to figure out what's on special and what the prices are is to use a comparison app. I use wiselist. You can view all the specials at each supermarket for the week, but can also search for a particular item and organise it from price lowest to highest, so you can see if it's cheaper at Coles or Woolies. I base my meal plans around what's on special and use wiselist to write down the price of each item per kilo, then go to aldi first and grab whatever is cheaper from there (wiselist doesn't have the prices for things from aldi unless they're in the Catalog) and get the rest from either coles or Woolies depending on what's cheaper. Also always get fruit and veg from the market, it's so much cheaper. Like $1 avocados instead of $1.50. it's time consuming but in this economy it's worth it.

Budgets are so imperative! As annoying as it sounds hahaha. My 9yo always asks “what’s the budget today mum?” when we go into shop haha. She is also my “calculator girl” and she tallies up as we go. When I think we are going to go over the budget, we then decide together what our wants/needs are and put away any wants that we agree we can go without :) I also cannot stress enough about knowing your prices!!! I should make myself a book lol but it’s all in my head baby :P

Budget and meal plan❤️Ever since Covid I keep a prepper pantry in my laundry. If something is on sale- 1 for kitchen pantry, 1 for laundry pantry. ❤️

For lunch boxes we dont buy single use yoghurt pouches. We purchased reusable pouches and fill them from a 1kg tub of yoghurt. A 100g pouch ends up costing around 40 cents instead of $1 for a 50g pouch! Also better for the environment 😊

Abi (winter white hamster), she wants more than she needs especially meal worms. Thankfully they are eating bird food and it’s cheaper than hamster food and they love it. It’s £1 per kg compared to £3 per kg etc. Abi needs more meal worms and is an addict. I do add cereal, nuts, sunflower seeds etc.
