Easy kimchi (김치) is made with cut baechu or napa cabbage...The Easiest way to make kimchi...Simple quick and easy recipe.
Ingredients:
1 Large baechu or napa cabbage
Garlic minced
Small ginger
8 tbps fish Sauce
1 cup hot pepper flakes
1 tablespoon sugar
2~3 tablespoon rice flour
2 tbps of all purpose plum syrup (optional)
Small radish cut into matchstick
1Small carrots cut into matchstick
spring onions
☆Porridge☆
200mL Water
1-2 sweet rice flour
1tbps Sugar
☆Slice the cabbage cut cabbage into quarters.Chop it into bite size pieces
☆Put cabbage In a large basin and salt the cabbage..soak for about 1 hr and 30 minutes
☆Every 20 minutes, turn the cabbage over to salt evenly
☆Slice the vegetables ,Radish, carrots and green onions
☆Rinse the Cabbage under cold running water 3 times, Set aside to drain the excess water for 5~10 minutes
HOW TO MAKE SWEET RICE PORRIDGE
200ml water bring to a boil..add the rice flour mixture ..cook for about 3~4 minutes.Turn off the flame and let them cool for 4-5 minutes
Combine all the vegetables and the spice paste....Using your hands gently work the paste into the vegetables until they are thoroughly coated.Pack the KIMCHI in a Jar press on down the kimchi until the liquid comes out and cover the vegetables..Seal the jar and let it Ferment for 1-5 days...Enjoy!!!
