Pretty cool! Glad to see I’m not the only one that puts the straps in the kayak 😊. Looking at doing a motor, but with hauling mine on a cartop rack, will have to remove the motor easily and mount at the ramp. Nice to see you are getting a system down, thanks for sharing!

First of all fantastic idea. I built a kayak trailer last season but it can be a pain depending n the terrain as it depends on boat ramps. I was thinking to use this concept but to build with an alternate material. My idea is that if the material is stronger than the PVC maybe you do not even need to remove the cart for transport. Instead of the hitch mount on your truck the cart stays attached and sits in the bed, then just strap it down. Also instead of the strap in the rear maybe a couple of vertical guide rods are all that is needed as it is attached in the front. Hope that makes sense. Again thanks for a great idea. Even if I decide to use PVC I can easily replace what needs replacing after season.

It makes perfect sense. The use of straps lets you load the yaks at an angle easy easy. You can adjust after yak is out of water simple enough.

Love the idea. Just purchased a kayak down here in Florida. I live 2/3 mile from the launch and don't have a truck to put the yak in the bed. Was thinking about beach wheels for easier movement across various surfaces to get there. Would you happen to share you cut/part list as of th8s iteration? If you have one that is. Would be most appreciated
