Has anyone here used one of his courses? I know I'll probably get a lot of people saying it's great an all but I'm really curious. I'm an intermediate player who mostly just plays along to backing tracks in my basement...and I have a good time! Thanks

Tried to buy your 8 course bundle last week and it kept getting stuck and wasn’t processing the order. I said the heck with it. I just watched your 1987 ADA video and started this one and said. If it is still there I will try to process it one more time. So now I have it too. Been playing on and off since 1986. Mostly off, unfortunately! Well now I am on big time! Been playing almost every day for 7 months. Really sounding better. I also have been doing a couple courses through Berklee College of Music online. Between you, Berklee and Uncle Ben, I am having a blast learning!! Keep up the great content Robert!!

I remember a student asking could I just teach him how to play circles ... I asked the circle of 5ths? No he said and slowly fumbled through the first example you gave 😂. We spent the next 40 minutes going over repeating small movable 4 and 5 note classic runs 👍🏽. He was super happy, till I gave him a set of barre chords to work on for next week 😂✊🏽

I've been working on guitars for a decade and a half. Obviously over that length of time I've held and played just about every type of guitar out there. However it's really only been over the last couple weeks where I've honestly been thinking "you know, I really should get a Les Paul with P90s," from hearing you play this Gold top.

My favorite "easier than it sounds" lick is either pulling off 15 to 12 then 14 on the string above, or bending 15 and then 12 hammer on to 15 on the string below. (Obviously works anywhere, that's just the frets I play the most often) Learned that one from Kirk Hammett

Awesome lesson, Robert!! These licks are killer man 🤘🏻I love the outside sounding ones and I'm always trying to find ways to incorporate out-of-key notes into solos. A lot of the 80s guys like Warren DeMartini, Steve Lukather, and, like you mentioned, Nuno and Eddie, threw in those dissonant, wrong-note types of ideas into their lead and that's what I've always loved. Jazz and fusion guys do it too, but in a rock context it's especially cool since it's not expected haha! Thanks for these awesome tutorials, you rock! 🤘🏻🎧👍🏻🎸
