So glad I saw this, because I have always been confused about something. When making someone's surname into a plural, it seems that some of these rules have exceptions: Šimkus becomes Šimkai, not Šimkūs. Noreika becomes Noreikai, not Noreikos. Am I correct about these examples?

my problem is recognizing when it is nominative, genitive, dative, accusative, instrumental, locative or vocative. need help there and don't know where to find it any suggestions?

Uo is masculine except sesuo, ė is feminine.
