Thanks for the tutorial, always good to know how to do it manually. But I still think that the new marvelous tool for retopology are better most of the time in term of time saving, I would honestly always use them and do it manually on very specific purpose.

It could in some cases but I use it when I’m on a low Polly budget for game use cases i need to get it too look good while dealing with deformation and doing it by hand is really the best way to do it from personal experience.

Not sure what export setting you used in Marvelous but I tried as many as I could and never receive shape keys on import in Blender.

Any export settings should work but make sure your not using welded and the flat and for main mesh has to be the exact same settings as well.

And also take note to make sure that you not doing anything else to the garment besides making it flat because it won’t work if the topology is any different from the original.

I cant get this to work, I cant bind it, even when it's triangulated, it always says "Target contains concave polygons" (but it's all triangles)

if you have any topology that is intersecting or overlapping itself can give you errors like that
