I’ve never been in the military but I came to this because I have similar hair and wear it in a bun everyday, I get headaches from it and it’s constantly breaking. I’m a painter (interior of homes not art) and if I leave it down in any manner I inevitability get paint in it. I’ve been trying to find quick & easy, looks nice but is gentler on my hair and head ideas. I live near a base and noticed some soldiers with different hairstyles recently and decided to see if I could find a tutorial. Yours has been the best ones so far. Also you are not the annoying know it all type personality that makes me click off the video before the intro is done. (*cough* Air Force *cough*) Thank you for this it’s much appreciated and I’m going to send my daughter some links to your videos because the poor woman inherited my hair and works with me!

Just found your channel randomly, but I’m so glad I did. That braided style will be something that i have to try! I’m hoping it’ll help with my breakage and flyaways since I work in a motor-pool and outside with all the crazy wind of Oklahoma. I be looking like a hot mess all day everyday 😅 I do have a question about those coil hair ties. Are you able to use more than one at a time? And if you do, do they get caught and tangled in each other?

Can you show us how you do your Dutch braids sometime? I can do them for other people, but never on my own head! Love that second style - thank you for the video, and congrats on 4k!

I left a link in the description for the girl who taught me! I’m afraid any video I would try to make would not be helpful and it’s a bit difficult to see on my dark hair 😅

@@AbbyWeaverBut I've seen plenty of female soilders who still wear their hair into millitary buns after the new regulations. Why?
@AbbyWeaver Жыл бұрын
@@robertisham5279 there is a limit on the length of the ponytail. Something like "Not to extend past the bottom of the shoulder blades when standing at the position of attention". I still have to wear a bun because my hair is too long OR I could cut my hair a bit shorter. This doesn't apply to the physical fitness uniform as long as your hair is not interfering with the task.

@Nadia future Army Chick Cross for a “future soldier” you don’t have many kind things to say. 🤷🏻♀️

@Nadia future Army Chick Cross Don’t join the Army. We don’t need people like you as soldiers. Go join the coast guard or something. There is a lot of internalized misogyny that I think you need to work out in your self. Please don’t project that kind of toxic behavior on to people you don’t know. The Army is about more than shooting people. It’s about caring about people.

But how is your hair so thick? I’ve only been active duty for almost 2 years and my hair is getting so thin 😭

I know it's been months since you posted this comment, but I wanted to offer what advice I could to any female who's suffering from thinning due to military styles
@Evlwolf2 жыл бұрын
Firstly: be careful how much you wash your hair. More is not better. Twice a week is good. But if you can't go that long, try washing with just water on some days. Also, get a microfiber hair towel. Don't use regular bath towels, they're too heavy and will pull on your hair too much.

Try not to use product for work if you can. Hair spray, gel, etc. They can make hair harder to brush plus you gotta wash them out. Find a style that you can do with just ties and clips.
@Evlwolf2 жыл бұрын
Get your hair trimmed regularly. This helps keep split ends away, which can weaken hair.

If your style hurts your scalp or feels too tight, it is.

Are women aloud to have buzz cuts in the army ? I’m wanting to get recruited but I currently have a death hawk (both of my sides shaved ) and I figured I would just shave the whole thing if I actually get recruited. But I’m reading mixed things on the internet about women having buzz cuts .
@DanielDTUBWeinberger11 ай бұрын
Females do not get their hair cut on joining like the males do. However, you can have same hair males have (before females had minimum length, now don't)
@rac77732 жыл бұрын
TY for your service. I love long hair on women, but this is a double standard. Men should not have to wear short cuts either.
