This is your signature style. People should see graffiti on terrain and think, 'Hey that looks like Steve Famine.' Excellent video.

Awesome man, the gold crown was a nice touch. 😎

Instead of transfers, I added graffiti by printing on plain paper and sanding the paper till it was super thin. It works really well! I first heard about this technique on a model railroad forum.

Looks so good. You can do a similar thing with a laser printer right? If you print the grafitti on a sheet and cover the whole wall, you wont even have any seams to blend.
@SteveFamine3 жыл бұрын
Yeah my Dropzone Terrain had laser printer decals that wrapped entire walls since at the 10mm scale it would have been much harder

I might actually do one of the album covers for Attak or Blitz as a giant flag/poster/wall piece for a Chaos Fort

Before we had a falling out, I had a friend who had an Ork Stompa that he was going to commission me to paint. In preparation for the project (which never happened), I did some research on tagging culture too. Well, I wanted to do a "bumper" sticker that would read (in Orcish!) "Gork Might Love You, but Everyone Else Thinks You're a Git!"

The mix of “real” graffiti and decals really looks great.

On my ACBA displays I have some graffiti done by a local artist I know. I've been looking forward to doing some Star Wars inspired graffiti on my SW: Legion terrain!

I didnt have the confidence to do it right away. I'm saving this and one of the ruined Leman Russes as a treat for the last thing I do on the table. Yeah the Johnny Rising Sun was a stroke of genius I thought lol

@@SteveFamine i actually painted the first shieldface that blew up on wip (see my miniature painting instagram at Simpsominiatures, it's buried alittle) Absolutely a stroke of genius! Ive been looking foward to seeing that graffiti since you mentioned it on wip. Great to see your channel, keep up with this quality and you'll grow exponentially with the other big dogs of KZbin mini painters, I'm sure of it.

Try micro sol and micro set. One softens one sets them. It’s an old product from way back but it’s still my go to for water slide. Looks great.

Great video! Anyone who wants to really understand the difference between Bombing and tagging should watch the Movie Beat Street from the mid 80s.

Awesome! I have been slowly adding graffiti to some pieces, but I want to go to the next level...so instead of using transfers that look great, I started watching graffiti videos and as usual, really overthinking it , leading to high drag/low speed. Cheers!

if you have a large building/wall you can actually airbrush it on - but at minimum go pick up some paint markers (white or silver) and try a sharpie!

I had been wondering how you do your graffiti. I’m going to give this a try for sure, love what they add to the terrain theme. Not sure I can do convincing bombing - you’re suspiciously good at those 😉

Excellent video and inspiring techniques! Would you recommend a blank decal paper brand to laser print my own graffitis?
@SteveFamine3 жыл бұрын
I honestly purchased a stack of it for $25~ off Amazon 3-4 years ago and forget the exact name. I tried stencils + airbrushing and masking but it didnt work as much. To actually use a mot marker/spray I need a much larger area to actually create graffiti. The decals are the easiest way to not spend an enormous amount of time on terrain but still give you the effect.
@marcoherreras65363 жыл бұрын
@@SteveFamine thanks! I was thinking of making them digitally and then printing them in decal paper, not in making actual wanabe graffiti at that scale, but that's ok, green stuff world has blank decal paper (8 EUR for 5 A4, I think) and I'm always happy to support compatriots directly rather than further enriching Amazon...
@SteveFamine3 жыл бұрын
@@marcoherreras6536 I actually did that on my other video/the Dropzone Commander table's graffiti (10mm smaller scale). The Greenstuff World products were simply since I didnt have a printer with any ink at the time :D
