This is so great. I laughed hard during your commentary, it really works. The tentacles are 💯 aces; I like their paint job on them a lot. Your pressing method was very interesting. Lots of good work here. Good job keeping it educational and entertaining.

Thanks Mitch! Yeah the pressing method was how I can lightly add rust without having to stipple or use a brush if I can and give my hands a break. I also wanted to avoid the airbrush or a spray for the salt masking method. This did about the same effect I wanted

Wow, there was so much informational content in here. That sponging technique is soooo good.

Looks great. I've known about using torn up sponges for terrain chipping for a long time, but this is the first I've seen simply pressing the flat side against a wall. Nice.

Great painting tutorial! I'd love to see more of the build process, texturing, etc. Thanks! 20 minutes of detailed rambling is not a problem :)

Yeah the first video was much shorter where I built it! being timed made me record less

If someone asked me "Say, what would it have been like if Hunter S. Thompson was building terrain?" I would send them a link to this video. ;-) Some great stuff, always appreciate a good sponging technique but loads of other useful stuff in there. Great build. Cheers!

Thank you! that means a lot! Yeah I like the longer hang out format for painting videos. I'll do the same for full armies I work on.

Rustoleum is such a useful product. Excellent work again. You make realistic yet fantastic terrain look easy dude. Great result as always. Your channel will get huge!

Really try and prime your terrain with it! The white coverage and dusting is literally one of the best things I've come across for "Secret Tools"

Now I feel the need to get some weathering powders, they really seem to make a big difference. My fav details are the corpses, kinda much more subtle than in most other scenery I've seen which adds to the chaos vibe.

On the rest of the terrain right now I'm really trying to hide a lot of small details / little doodads and keep the primary pieces fairly muted
