Hi Tiffany! I love all of your video tutorials, old and new. I'm wondering if you could talk about the flowers for a moment? I'm especially interested in the white flower you used in the upper left corner. How do you make them so that they are showing a portion of their center and which type of flower works best (ie daisy, dogwood, rose, etc.). Thank you so much and I apologize for the kinda silly question. I really love that look and I especially love your work. Your style is very beautiful! Thank you.

I feel with you there wrt the allergies..... I have had a very bad sinus and middle ear infection since last Wednesday.... My sinus's have always bothered me, but at the moment we have very dry weather cause of lack of rain and water. The pain in the ear is excruciating.... Damn..... Hope you feel better soon!!! And thank you for your AWESOME videos!!!! Love Tanya from South Africa

That all sounds wonderful! The thing I struggle with the most is coming up with my own layouts and ideas that actually work! I love copying other people's art as a way to practise different techniques, but when I start to do my own ideas, it always looks wrong, but I can't put my finger on why! Could you share some basics on what makes a good page construction and how to plan out a page! What I create never looks like what I imagined when I started, lol!
@Tiffany.Solorio7 жыл бұрын
A lot of times I go on pinterest and look for scrapbook pages and follow the basic design of where the photo is.... I also love looking up scrapbook sketches. This gives you an idea and i basic starting point. Sometimes too you have to not think of how you imagined it and go with the flow... I have to do this A LOT lol! more than half the time my projects do not come out like they were designed in my head hahaha... and I just play around with it until I like it. When I first started scrapbooking I never did a layout without having a sketch... I did lots of them and over time... lots of time (like years lol) I found what I like and dont like. If I am in doubt of what I want my design to be I go with the basic photo in the center of the page like I did with this one. I hope this helps....

You are very welcome. I do hope you give it a try. My allergies are so bad this year. My son too was miserable. I have tried local honey and all the natural stuff but I finally started giving him the childrens claritin tablets and he has gotten better. Thanks so much for watching!

I'm definitely going to give it a try! I love how mixed media looks, I've loved it ever since I first saw it...mine seem to be worse this year too, my eyes are so bad, had to get allergy eye drops. Good to know the children's Claritin worked for your son, glad he's better! I'll have to get some of that for my son. Should never leave getting medicine to a man, hubby got wrong kind. Lol! Take care!! :)

I am going to give mixed media a try wish me luck don’t know what I’m doing lol. When you do this on just a piece of cardstock doesn’t the paper warp or do you put carded to the back as you can see I’m a real newbie lol. Forgot to say beautiful layout as always
@Tiffany.Solorio6 жыл бұрын
Yes the paper warps a bit. I don't mind it. But you could mount it to some chipboard if you wanted after it's done. I hope that helps and You got this! It is so much fun and it will turn out amazing!

I have not done this and I want to sooo badly. Yes Iam scared lol!! I dont have the gesso so that is so expensive hard to invest yet. I loved all you did before the paper so i learned alot! I do like the paper not that it all came together. I have tried to distress my paper but it never looks like that and Iam so frustrated when I try. Again TY so much Lori
@Tiffany.Solorio7 жыл бұрын
I am so glad you have learned something. When I first started doing mixed media more and more I was always frustrated that it didnt look like this persons or even how I wanted it to... but with time I learned to just let all that go and just create. I have tried lots and lots of techniques and some work for me and some are a epic fail and thats ok...... I just continue to try new things and if I like it than I try it more and more and eventually it is like second nature. Gesso is pretty pricey. Have you tried a craft store like hobby lobby or michaels? You are able to use a coupon . Thanks so much and keep at it. Big hugs!

I dont have HL but I have Michaels and ACMoore I think last I looked was like 32 for the bottle you had. I will try when I can do a 50% and 20% off all purchases and maybe get some. I got texture paste from MS when Michaels was clearing out all her things but it is so think it wont stencil right. I also tried to make my own with some recipes from YT and they didnt work. I will hopefully get some and start doing some layouts and tags and such with it. TY again for the encouragement. Lori

I am unsure what happened to her. But she did scam dozens of people out of money and destash boxes. I don't associate with her any more.
