Keep trying, I'm just starting to learn to crochet. I got upset the other day while practicing just doing rectangles, but I've been doing tutorials for two days now had a lot of start-over rounds but I just kept on going until I got the hang of it. ^_^; I'll sometimes start the first step over multiple times until I get it the way I like it. This is my second project and despite it only having 7 legs it's still cute as heck!

I know exactly how you feel, I started on this pattern and had to rip it out a million times, and when I finally got it finished it had 5 legs. Now I am pretty good at amigururmi. Once I understood every step, it came easier and easier. ;) ~Happy crafting!

Thanks! Xoxoxo

This Tutorial is amazing! I only just started learning and I am so proud of my little octopus even though he has 3 tentacles, one question is I would like to make a really big version and how would I go about doing that?

New to crochet, and this was my first animal after doing two granny squares (following a KZbin tutorial as well). Got a bit confused on my first attempt of the octopus but got it right on my second attempt! Thanks for doing a step by step video tutorial :)

I don’t have a clear visible ridge like you do, so I’m confused, but I’m going to make it work!!

Second project this week, have only been learning to crochet for about 3 days. Mine ended up with 7 legs, so I guess it's a septopus xD Love the tutorial! Will definitely be making more of these.

This video is super helpful! My only problem is that I can't figure out the part about only crochet into the back loop... I never get the little ridges and always have to guess at where to put the legs. I made sure to crochet into the loop you pointed out, but maybe I'm still doing it wrong somehow... Great video anyway!

I’m a beginner too. I’ve only made a disabled owl with uneven wings :) what does “increase” mean? “Two single crochets in one stitch” that means in one hole where you start the single crochet you’d do two stitches back to back not one like normal?
@CreateOsaur
@CreateOsaur 5 жыл бұрын
To do the two single crochet in one stitch. First do one single crochet like normal, but instead of moving on to the next stitch like normal, you will go back into the hole from the stitch you just did and do a single crochet again. This makes it so you have 2 in one spot.

You’re a great instructor! I’ve watched 5 other people’s videos trying to get this done and you’re the only one I can follow that made it easy to follow. Thank you so much! I’d like to see a cat or dog if you can that I can attach to a lovey for babies!👍🥰🤗

I love this tutorial and I've made 3 so far, but for some reason mine always end up with 5 legs. I even count and make sure there's 16 of those front loop ridges outside, really weird

My first one came out great, but I messed up on my second one in a few spots and I pulled the yarn too tight and I tried to fix it so he’d still have 8 legs which means half his legs are smooshed together. Anyway they are Octavius and his little brother Inky and I love them
