🔥 Frequently Asked Questions:
Do you have a left handed version of this video? If you are left handed, you can convert ANY video on KZbin yourself! Simply go to www.mirrorthev... and follow the instructions to mirror flip any video to convert to left handed!
How much yarn will I need? This is a very tricky question to answer as there are so many variables! How much yarn you need will depend on which yarn you choose, the thickness of that yarn, your tension and how large you want your finished project to be. I suggest making a small sample first so you can gauge how much yarn you'll need. If making a crochet square, you can weigh your finished square to work out how much yarn it used!
How many squares do I need for a blanket? That all depends on the size of the square you are making and how big you want your finished blanket to be! I always advise making one square first then measuring the size of it. From there you can work out how many squares you will need to get the blanket size you want 😀
Do you have the written pattern? Yes! I have written patterns to accompany my video tutorials on my website here: www.hookedbyro... The written pattern is generally released a week or so after the video tutorial to ensure there are no errors in the video itself and to make amendments in the written version if any are found. All the written patterns are FREE to access on my website
How can I print the pattern from your website? Do you have downloadable PDF's? Not at this time no. This may change in the future but for now, I only provide the written pattern directly on my website.
Can you remake this video so it is slower? If the video speed is too fast, you can slow it down! 😀 See this video on exactly how: • How to Adjust the Spee...
Why do you use American stitch terminology? I learnt using USA stitch terms, long before I even knew there was a difference between UK & US terminology! American terms are my "first language" so to speak. If you need a conversion chart, I have one here! www.hookedbyro...

You should try to make just the head of it then make a Magic ring with 8 sc in it then in the first stich chain 20 then in the second one from your hook do 3 hdc in each 20 sc then when u get back to the magic ring sc in the next stich and then ch 20 and repeat then u will have a octopus and sew the legs and the head together

Ive been watching you for the longest time now and i remember when this video first came out, i immediately started making it. This was my first crochet project, and i made a whole army of big, medium, and small jellys, and i gave everyone of them to my grandma. She always asked for different themes of jellyfish like a bee jellyfish or confetti jellyfish. Sadly, she passed away 2 years ago, and before they buried her, i put a jellyfish with her before i said goodbye. I love this pattern so much, and i love you. Thank you❤❤

I've made 3 of these now. It takes me WAY longer than 20 minutes, but I'm still a beginner and each one looks better than the last. I use a different color for the tentacles. I kind of like the contrast and it still looks good with the two in the middle.

So this became a family event. Up until very recently I've only crocheted (badly mostly) blankets as I learned from youtube. I can't read a pattern for love nor money. My husband always takes an interest in my crafts and decided he wanted to try crochet (something about it was the only way he'd get to spend time with me). Turnd out chaining is the only thing he can do (our 8 year old daughter had to get in on it also). So I did the body and my husband and daughter did the tentacles and my husband put it all together. Thank you for making a fun and easy to follow project the entire family got in on.

It will!! Just practice over and over again :) I used to have to watch a tutorial everytime i made a slip knot or magic ring.
@stephl5230
@stephl5230 3 жыл бұрын
Slip knot: If you wrap your hook back to front twice (yarn over twice) and hold onto both tails, pull the back loop off over the second loop and it creates a twist under the hook. Then wrap another yarn over on the hook and pull the new back loop over the new loop. Now you have a slip knot! The magic ring is harder to remember Wrap your wrong index finger the wrong way around twice and hold tail tight. Insert hook under first loop and pull the second loop up. Now yarn over and pull the first loop over and off. Then you can just start working your single crochets into the whole. You stop thinking about it after you've done it enough times. Don't over think it. Try a different video every time until one clicks and sticks in your memory. For me that's the above examples. Good luck!

I'm a beginner at crochet and this tutorial is perfect! Thank you for making it so easy to follow. I've made three of these so far, and instead of adding a keyring to mine I've turned them into cat toys! I mixed catnip and honeysuckle in with the stuffing and gave them to all my furry friends for holiday gifts. For the first two, I made them according to your tutorial exactly, but for the last one I crocheted an extra row and increased to 30 stitches to make it a little larger. I also added an extra set of tendrils. It came out the perfect size for a cat toy and I'll definitely increase to 30 again for the next one! Since I can't find safety eyes anywhere in my city I've been using rivets on other projects, but because I don't want to risk them coming apart and my cat choking on them, I used black yarn to make smiling n-shaped eyes by following the steps for making a smile (I just did it upside down). The faces are simple but so cute! Thank you again 😊

It came out cuter than I expected it to. I used white beads for eyes as I couldn't find these nice googly eyes in a good price in my country. But it still looks really cute, so thank you loads!🥰🤩

This was super fun to make and I love my little jelly! This did not take my 25 minutes it took me 3 days, 1 day to start it because I was confused and didnt know how, 2nd day to make the body, and 3rd make to make the tendrils and sew him up! I’m a begginer but I loved making him, I gave him a lot of extra tendrills in different colors and a happy smille. Update:I made a bunch more and each time it took shorter and shorter and now that I have the hang of it it only takes 25-30 minutes. This is amazing, thanks! 10/10, would reccomend even for begginers like me! Happy chrocheting!

Love these little guys - they are so cute and get easier and easier to make the more you make…. A real hit! Some have hung them from their mirrors in their cars… using them as a key chain is a bit difficult because the tendrils get tangled up…. Love them - thank you for making this video so easy to follow!❤️❤️❤️❤️

These guys are the cutest beginner project I've seen. I just started chrocheting and am currently on my third project. Now I really want to try making these jellyfish as tiny as possible. That handkerchief yarn I have is probably thin enough to get them down to earring size. Guess I am gonna need those extra small hooks after all... Anyway, great tutorial!

This is the first "easy amigurumi tutorial" ever that was actually easy for me! I made a lil jellyfish (i mean, i still have tendrils to do and assembly but that's not problem) I have never before made an amigurumi anything, because it was always so complicated (and a lot of tutorials explain in details those things that i already understand and dont explain those i don't. or didnt because i got the vibe of it now and everything will be just a little easier) Very good tutorial, the jellyfish is incredibly cute, the whole thing is as customable as things can be - i can choose the yarn/colors, the size (i have a lot of chunky chunky big yarn and i think it will work for this too, except it wont be a keychain anymore, just a toy, but still), the face too (i embroidered the face instead of doing premade eyes cause i didnt want to go to the store for them. it looks really cool and soft) SO YEAH Great tutorial, 10/10, am going to share it on social media 💛💛💛💛💛
