I've used Fumoto drain valves for over 35 years. Every vehicle I own gets one at the first oil change. The only downside is that it takes longer for the oil to drain, but I use that time to enjoy a refreshing malted adult beverage 🍺😋

To me it seems too easy to move the lever - like road debris, gravel or snow could possibly do it. If i had one on my car I would take precautions like wiring the lever down or protecting it so it only moves when you want it to.

@@DavidPalen-zw4rt it has a spring on it in place, opening takes some exacted effort

No incidental contact can move the lever

Not on any car I've ever owned in the past. I personally would stick to a sump plug, but a brilliant idea nonetheless. I'd be afraid of some scumbag draining my car oil and leaving it that way. Yes, people like that exist. Just a few more things, though not necessary, fill up your oil filter with fresh oil 1st before installation to prevent your engine from running dry for a few seconds until the oil pressure builds. And lubricate the oil filter gasket with fresh oil before installing. But other than that, brilliant video 👍
