Effortless for these gifted professionals. Emphasis on "gifted." I never came within a mile of professional, but people asked me all the time, how can you harmonize like that? There's no answer. It's not "difficult," it's same as singing the tune, and all the other possible notes: the hard part is doing the same harmony if somebody wants to duplicate. I'll bet Stapleton sings it a little different every time. Of course, there's no telling they were on the same continent when this was recorded. Both great artists.
