You are food goals!!! I was surprised (like you mentioned) that it wasn't a hamburger in a pot, however I LOVE how many vegetables you had in this and how easy it was to adapt to what you had on hand! I too like to use potatoes that look like that ;) I usually have to pop the "sprouts" off the top LOL. Great tip to freeze the items that are about to go bad too! Thanks for all of your kind words at the beginning! :) I'm so glad to know you and thanks so much for collaborating with me on this! It was fun and we should definitely do it again in the future!

Big House Tiny Living haha! Thank you so much! I think both of our videos turned out SO well-we make a good team! 😁 I clean my kitchen as I go too. 👍🏻 I forgot to mention about the name “Hamburger” soup in my intro, so I’m glad I threw in that clarification at the end!

That looks bussin! The only differences I will use is, one quart of store brand V-8 juice for stock, and San Marzano tomatos for rich flavor. BTW... The zucchicini idea sounds like a winner!

I loved this simple recipe! I have been down with the flu for 5 days not eating much and sleeping constantly. I live on soup but my hubby doesn't like so now that I'm wide awake at 11pm I'm going to make a small batch of this and watch movies till 4 in the morning! I am wide awake and starving for hamburger soup. Thanks for making it so easy!

I have always wanted to try a hamburger soup and this looks so delicious !! Definitely can't wait to try it. I got really into Mari Kondo last year (like so many people) and followed the process and love minimalistic living. Thanks for sharing and hope you are all staying safe ❤

Thanks Mel! You too! Yes, I'm slowly paring things down--it's a little trickier living with other people, but I've definitely noticed a difference in my anxiety levels with less stuff!

I make this using Lipton Onion soup mix, the dry stuff, in place of the beef broth. Just add water as directed for soup on the package.

5:00 that isn't grease, that's mainly flavor. boil off the remaining water THEN use your baster or a wad of paper towels to sop up the couple of tablespoons of fat left over.

If you add a few tablespoons of flour to your hamburger before you add everything else in you can make a true that will thicken you broth.

My version is insanely NOT simple! Vegetables used for 6 quarts of soup Carrots Potatoes Corn Green beans Green peas Baby Lima beans Okra Celery Onions Jalapeños Bell peppers 1 yellow squash diced 1 zucchini squash diced Spices/seasonings used Worcestershire sauce 2 tbsp Himalayan pink salt 1 tbsp Black pepper 2 tsp Garlic 2 tbsp Garlic powder 2 tsp Onion powder 2 tsp Chili powder 1 tbsp Cayenne pepper 2 tsp Adobe spice 2 tsp Cumin 1 tbsp Coriander 1 tbsp Italian seasoning 1 tbsp Smoked paprika 1 tbsp 28 oz. Crushed tomatoes 1 can fire roasted Rotel 32 oz. Kitchen basics unsalted beef stock 1-2 pounds of ground chuck browned in the onions sautéed in 2 tbsp olive oil Combine in crock pot or Instant Pot or stove top soup pot and cook until desired level of doneness Kroger sells frozen soup vegetables containing everything but the bell peppers, jalapeños, and squash, but the pieces are too small for an Instant Pot, so I use fresh and cut them up in larger chunks if using the Instant Pot.

This is close to how I make mine. I add potatoes, corn, frozen mixed veggies, bell pepper, onions, celery, and canned diced tomatoes and Rotel tomatoes, beef broth. For seasoning, I add season salt, black pepper, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, basil, and thyme. Then worcetershire sauce. I love this soup. It taste even better the next day.

Haha well this was about keeping it simple and easy. If you already have granulated garlic in your pantry, I'd say that's easier than buying it, chopping it, scrubbing the smell off your hands and then using it. But yes, fresh garlic is superior.

IMO. Any garlic is better than no garlic! lol
